No, in hindsight the only player that would have been beneficial was Horvat. A net front champ. I was on the Kane train cause I thought Kane would have bought into rods system, which he probably would have, but Horvat was the long play.

I mean… if you were him, and we know he doesn’t like being kept off the field, playing for Rhule. I’m sure he has some wear and tear injuries where he was like, “ok doc, I’m out for what..? 12 weeks, cool” which if he was on a competitor he’d fight to keep playing. I’m happy for the guy and hoping maybe in 5 years we can get him back for a SB run on a vet 1 year deal.

Ya… as much as I wish we’d replace Stepan with Each if Drury stays on 4. I understand why we are keeping Stepan. Drury will(should) also be covering Stepans fugups going neutral to defensive. Who knows Maurice could redistribute his lines to create a spread. We’ll see.

@backINblack28 I’m just talking games 1-2 here in case that wasn’t clear. With this current line composition rod has done a very nice job spreading our best “shutdowns” across all three lines and trusting Staal will run his line properly. With TT back we would gain another two way, who excels in the O/N zones.

That does have an on paper benefit of freeing up our 1, but their 3 is their shutdown line too, Jersey tried putting their shutdown Vs. Our 2 and look what happened. That’s why I think Aho V. Barkov like you said happened in the regular season. Though I’d go flip in that scenario, Staal still on Bennett, KK on Barkov.

Doubtful, because at least for the first two games I highly suspect we will put the Staal line against the Bennett(Tkachuk) line. We could put him against the Barkov but I think shutting down and frustrating the Bennett line is priority. That’s why it’s kind of surprising, since the Staal line requires the most energy/defense. Im guessing they said TT is a very good two way player and he’s been resting for a month. If his hand is good he’s going to give us the best option shutting down Tkuchuk.

Actually the entire project was going to be privately funded. They weren’t asking for any public funds, the government was going to give them a 30 year property tax break. But the revenue this district would have brought would have made that obsolete. Theres a bunch of people on Twitter saying “oh we won, down with billionaires, no public funds”. They do realize the entire thing was privately funded by those billionaires to bring a poo ton of tax revenue to your area, right?

So Tempe chose a most likely hazardous material leaking landfill over this. It’s my understanding that the cleanup of that site was not included in the 2.1 billion wanted for the entertainment district and ownership would have fronted that cost. Could be wrong but.

Welp, was not expecting the city to vote against the district. They basically screwed themselves out of a landfill cleanup. If the coyotes move I hear the front runners are Houston and KC. Which I believe would both be successful markets.

I’m curious how well our 2 is going to match up against their 3. Cause either way at home that’s how it’s going to shake down, unless we decided to 2 v Florida 1. And if Florida will try everything they can to avoid our 1 Vs. their 3 especially if TT is playing.

Lomberg, Bennett, Gudas and Tkachuk are though… Lomberg had the same thing happen to him as TT from what everyone can surmise though. I have a feeling the NHL better have Gudas on a very short leash this series.
