Ya. I’m right there with you. I know we got panthers TC right around the corner and all that, but I don’t really want to get too involved with all that. We got a new coach and a number one pick. I kinda just want to pick it up week one and enjoy what should be much much better football. Enjoy our new cerebral guru QB and hope Reich didn’t fug up an already poo defense. Rhule really just ground me down and turned me off the NFL outside of playoffs. Canes however! Expectations mother fugers. Give me some of that sweet sweet hockey.

Dammit. Why did I have to go down that rabbit hole of impossibility. Just imagining a Svech-Aho-Kuzmenko line. Holy poo. Universe, if you are listening… This is why I don’t look up or say players I want to see on our team.

Ya apparently I missed that release. Just saw it in the reply’s. I thought we were trying to piggyback onto another teams AHL for this season. Makes sense though. But it does suck our boys won’t be able to build cohesion.

Which apparently I missed(forgot) during playoff season But I thought we were still trying to get a hold over team for this season.

Really don’t think we are going to have an AHL affiliate this season.

Where did he end up this year because we are obviously going to play them in the playoffs.

@DavidEng this has always been a huge problem for Nylander. Would you really want this type of effort on your team in the playoffs? We don’t need regular season players. We need a playoff forward or two.

Tatar had an excellent +/- last year. +41 or something. But it looks like his offensive play is falling off. I’ll need to watch Terry’s highlights. But if you think he’s a fit he probably would be. I could definitely live with Kempe though. Not sure id trade Pesce or skjei to acquire him though. Kuzmenko? I’d trade both if that’s what it took.

I’d personally like to see him get some adversity as mentioned above. Our 2+ our 1c and maybe OT’s vs. another teams ones.

How ever much Reich is willing to play the starters. Send them out for a series in game one. 2 series in game two. A full half+ in game three Or which ever of the games is the new “game 3”. If we can get it a full series of our 2s save maybe a few one OL against an opponent’s one defense. That will probably be in joint camp though.

If I could pick any trade piece winger in the Nylander price range. I’d want Kempe realistically, though actually I’d really want Kuzmenko but there ain’t no way in hell we’d get him, especially since he’s on a bridge and just resigned with Vancouver. First season over here from Russia for 74 points with 39 goals… on Vancouver. Here’s to dreaming. For those that aren’t that familiar with him he’s a tip master who can also rocket the puck when need be. Great positional sense. Maybe we can rent him at the trade deadline. There are just little to no realistic options in that range when it comes down to it this year. All the high point options are comfortable either on near contender teams(Washington, Pittsburg to name a few) or on playoff teams.

Another one. Also it’s noted that this season the leafs played a 2-3 offense and he’s the high forward. So maybe that’s why he’s so timid up by the net. That gave him great point success in the regular season. But these are both playoff games.

This poo isn’t going to fly on a heavy deep forechecking team. And this was a playoff game too. Also sorry the edit again but, That’s worse than some Necas slack play. At least Necas knows to backcheck too.

Do not want Nylander unless he’s willing to completely buy into rods system. He’s stupidly lazy a majority of the time. Especially on defense. That’s not going to fly in man defense scheme.

Isn’t Nylander the lazy one? If so I don’t think he’d fit this team. Heard he’s a bit of a Prima donna too.

The fact we are trying to even move Pesce when he’s got half the league on a do not go list is just absurd.

In my opinion it’s better to ride what we got and at the end of the day if we have to move one of our 2D at the deadline. Than so be it. They didn’t want to extend.

Then we get 4M in cap and a huge trading chip. Bigger than either Pesce or Skjei this season. Now is not the season to be trading pieces. Since bettman absolutely fugged the cap the past few years.

This whole obsession with offensive defensemen is starting to get ludicrous to me. That’s how rod’s game works. We got a bit of grit. That’s great. We need to position ourselves to flip Drury(sorry dude) at the deadline, get someone who is injured but we know will deliver. Cheat the cap. Cause that’s how you win the cup in the past what? 6 season?

More aptly put. We don’t need regular season guys. If anyone hasn’t been paying attention we’ve even the second best record in hockey for how many seasons now? 3? Or did Colorado beat us the season they won the cup. Anywho we’ve been top three for the while. What we need is is svech not to tear his ACL or a replacement of his caliber we can cheat the cap with. I am firmly of the camp if svech didn’t tear his ACL we would have won the cup. And probably the bubble year too.
