NFL rebuilds aren’t NHL rebuilds. Aka an NFL rebuild shouldn’t take 5-7 years and shouldn’t be sold as such. An NFL rebuild is in the 3-4(in a worst case) seasons window. After that it just becomes a failure.

Sorry if it’s a double post but, Is this because it’s pre-season? From this angle at least it looks like shoulder first head to chest contact. Find that hard to believe it’s worthy of a fine from this angle.

We’re other players still blowing assignments and still as horribly out of position as the jet games? I’ll have to give it a watch tomorrow when I can.

I wasn’t able to catch the game last night. All I want to know is did we see player improvement? Gonna try and catch a recording tomorrow. There was a lot of mistakes Vs. the Jets with guys out of position, missing their assignment(in less than vanilla scheme), etc, especially on “first string” defense. If we improved on mistakes like that I’m happy for now.

I’m with you here. I don’t think there was any Ill intent. It’s obvious if that guy is 5’ 9” Bryce has more than a few inches on him.

Was hoping the panthers would be farther along than they are at this point. Not spectacular but further along than they are.

So we aren’t making any more moves.

I’m guessing this is a <5 year plan then. Perhaps sooner. fug ya boys, media can’t ignore is anymore(but they are still not a mention on NHL.com I’ve seen).

Is it me or does a 150 room hotel seem kind of low for the amount of big concerts that come through that area.

Burns is notoriously bad(or even lazy) against the run though. So not sure how much of a boon he’d be in this situation.

Our defense couldn’t even figure out their basic coverages. There were too many blown assignments to count to even begin considering anything more complex.

Was concerned about our defense and ooo boy did they deliver on expectations.

3-4 sucks.

Umm not talking about that, but if that’s what floats your boat. Talking about the fact his thighs are about 6 sizes too big for those pants, I’m surprised he still has feeling left in his legs.

Really not sure football players were meant to wear skinny jeans.

TDA had a lot of personal issues/problems. That’s something not only rod can work on but Slavin, Martinook, Staal, etc. Nylander is just not a two way player, is lazy and avoids contact on the forecheck. Those are not traits that are going to fly under rod. As I’ve posted before there are 2+ playoff videos where he gave up the puck on a rush forecheck to avoid contact. That’s a reoccurring theme. Maybe Rod can fix that, but why expend the resources, Nylanders stats will come down in a by committee team, and if he can’t provide two way and forecheck we don’t need him. And as I’ve said before we don’t need a regular season forward. We need a playoff scorer. There is a big difference, Nylander is not the second, at least what he’s shown before.

That makes sense. And ya I’d like to see at least 2 series and maybe more if we end up with 3 and outs. If Bryce can move the offense than a quarter should be good to get the tape like you said.

Not to mention his muscles are engaged in only one of the pictures.

Has Reich said how many series Bryce will get today? I saw he said something along the lines of “the panthers are a special team, the starters need time”.

Dope.

We don’t need him until late December anyways. If Aho/Staal can rally the boys. Get some season under our belt. I’d say hold him until after the Allstar. But that wouldn’t happen.
