Missing three forwards and the caps got patches. Tonight’s going to be interesting.
-
That said not sure how I feel about this… At least Drury is centering. It might open up KK’s scoring ability a bit more knowing he’s got a solid two-way guy covering the blue line.
-
Gonna have to go Svech.
-
Necas and Noesen are not on the ice. Pono is making his debut for sure.
-
Obviously I’d prefer our starters but… if they are out!
-
Without a team practice I should add.

Edit: Sorry for the long post. Noesen has/had the flu/covid going around the league. Necas got his shoulder fuged up by Orlov in practice yesterday(it was an open practice and somebody got it on film, I’ll post below.) No word on Fasty, but since he wasn’t at practice I think he’s still in the protocol. Clearly he got his shoulder crunched, on a not even that hard hit by Orlov. — — — If all three can’t go we’d only have 17 skaters even with Lemieux and TDA aka 10-7 tonight. Which would be really hard on the guys on a back to back. Thus the need for a 11th forward. If all three of our starters can’t go I’d frankly have brought Suzuki and Pono up(if we had the roster space) with Drury and gotten a good look at them on a line together. But sadly we don’t have the roster space so TDA it would be. That said I suspect Pono is just insurance for the back to back in case someone else gets dinged up. Though I really want to see him play at the top level. 11-7 with 3 missing starters on the road vs a division rival isn’t the best situation to throw him into.

Pono is called up. Noesen and Necas both out or insurance for the back to back?
-
FUS got absolutely murdered in the finals. Head down dragging a shot against the middle. He will learn, Rod don’t like head down play. Though it did look like targeting.
-
Good to see they got both the offense and Pyotr working on shootouts during an open practice.
-
FUS has quieted down over the past two games but Sweden is meeting the USA in the gold medal match today.
-
Looks like his English is starting to get better. Also svech said yesterday, Pyotr doesn’t want to be a goalie. He’d rather be a “hockey player” and score goals and make hits.

Just noticed badard is -20 so far. And the 8th worst +/- skater in the league. -
I mean if they are both out, Necas being the potentially longer one, we’d be rolling with 19 skaters tomorrow and maybe Saturday depending on how quick Noesen gets over the “illness”, if Necas can’t go. I’m pretty sure Fasty is in the protocol since he didn’t skate today don’t think he’s probably even on the overnight.

Ugh we might be without Necas and/or Noesen tomorrow. Noesen got the illness, Necas got hit in the corner by Orlov today. If needed we could call up Pono or Suzuki…
-
It would certainly change the dynamic and stretch the play a lot more.

Sounds like they want him to get some game time before they play us. -
There is no availability goalie that isn’t going to cost 200+% of what they normally would in a trade. We are not the only team that is having goalie issues, in fact quite a few contenders are. There are only 2-3 teams sitting on legit goalie capital currently from what some of the hockey talk shows have said too. So it’s a wait and see who’s willing to give how much by the deadline.

We now officially are #2 in the metro. P% and points. 5 behind the team we just curb stomped.

Wrong thread.

Lemieux looked beat walking off there.

Ya he’s a mini Stepan with more bite.
