Good game fellas. I'm glad we played you as tough as we did but the better team won. At least that last Cam TD helps my fantasy team lol. -

Most likely. Like I've been saying all week, I just wanted to see us a play a top team tough. And that's what we're doing. -

I tried to tell you guys about our pass rush. I'm still not confident our offense can do enough to pull this one out though. I think a big defensive play from either side could end up being the difference in this one. -

Looking forward to a good, injury-free game. I do think most of you aren't giving our team enough(/any) credit but I can certainly understand why you're confident. We'll find out soon enough. -

Our stadium always gets invaded by opposing fans. Expect for Panther fans to be every bit as loud as Titan fans today. -
I hate to admit it, but I liked Winston more coming out. All the off the field stuff definitely had me worried but from an on-the-field standpoint I thought his game would more easily translate to the NFL. And I do still think he's going to very good. But man, Mariota has surprised us all so much. It's tough to even really explain but he just seems to have that it factor, much like Cam. He seems to stay super calm and even-keeled regardless of it's the first play of the game or the last drive with the game on the line. He definitely still has a few things he needs to work on but I have a hard time believing he's not just going to get better from here on out. Especially as we continue to build the team around him. Considering the talent, or lack thereof, he's working with this year what he's been able to do is pretty damn impressive for a rookie. At least IMO. For the first time in a long time, the future looks bright in Nashville.

Yeah we had a couple of lucky breaks last week. Absolutely we can't rely on that kind of stuff against a much superior team. If we can play sound football and keep our emotions in check (i.e. not get a ton of stupid penalties like last week) we just might might be able to make it a ballgame.

Luckily I don't have strong college allegiances. If I did I don't know how I'd have made it these past several years being a Tennessee football fan. It's been bad, to say the least. It really is jealousy. And if you have any ill will toward the guy in the first place, I suppose he's any easy dude to dislike. I don't really care about any of that crap. Cam is a great QB.

It's SEC country so yes there is. If Cam had played for Tennessee they'd all love him. It is what it is.

You should probably check out the totality of my posts rather than projecting onto a single one. I've been giving your team/offense TONS of credit. Even specifically stated I've been saying you guys were being overlooked for weeks and weeks now. I am not taking this game or your team lightly. I think if we played 5 times you guys would probably win 4 of them. I am merely trying to offer some insight into my team because I know it's easy for opposing fans to be all "Blah blah 2-6 team blown out by Miami and Houston" without having watched this team week in and week out and seeing the root causes of those losses. This is a different team with Mariota healthy and sans Whisenhunt, plain and simple. I don't blame you at all for being confident. You guys are clearly the better team. But I'm sure we've all been watching the NFL long enough to know that the better team doesn't always win on Sunday. Luckily for you guys I highly doubt your players and coaches are taking this game as lightly as many of you seem to be.

He definitely doesn't have the talent he had in Pittsburgh's heyday. But don't sleep on our front 7. Jurrell Casey is a beast and would most likely be talked about as one of the best D-linemen in the game if he were on a more relevant team. Derrick Morgan really seems to have taken a big step forward in year two of this switch to the 3-4. He and Orakpo are really getting after the QB. I'll give you the defense doesn't look intimidating on paper, but regardless it's working. We're 3rd against the pass and have 22 sacks, but we absolutely can be run on. I think getting Stewart going will be key for you guys in this one. Of course Cam brings that x-factor himself. I was listening to Greg Cosell talking about this matchup on one of our local radio shows and he was saying you guys run more different formations and groupings with your backfield than any other team in the league. Our defense definitely has their work cut out for them.
-
Most definitely. If there's one thing we've done consistently well this season though it's getting after the QB. Of course Cam presents a rather unique challenge. I trust Lebeau to put together a solid gameplan against him it's just going to be a matter of whether or not the players can execute it.

McCourty is officially out. Perrish Cox and Blidi Wreh Wilson are questionable I believe. BWW is truly awful so he's no big loss. Might be beneficial to us if he's out actually.
-
Realistically we are only 2 games out of it, that's how bad this division is. I've just learned my lesson on getting my hopes up for miraculous turnarounds. Our upcoming schedule is pretty tough. We have you guys, New England, Oakland, NYJ, and Indy again. I have a hard time seeing us finishing better than 5-11. If we win out in our division (not bloody likely) and steal one from the Jets or Raiders (or Panthers lol) AND the Colts fall apart then maaaaaaayyyyybe we could sneak into the playoffs with a 7-9 record a la the Seahawks a few years back. It's a hell of an uphill battle though.

That Cleveland game, it was just a mess all around. I was surprised the score was as close as it was. We had three lost fumbles and our secondary was making Manziel and Benjamin look like Peyton and Marvin Harrison in their prime. I really have no excuses for that one. As for the Dolphins and Texans, I honestly think Whisenhunt had completely lost the locker room by that point. This team clearly had no confidence in his gameplans or their ability to execute it. They had the look of a team who really just didn't even give a damn anymore. I'm not trying to make us out to have turned a corner or anything. But I do think you kinda sorta have to look at this as a different team. Mularkey has made a lot of changes.... scheme, lineup, and we got a new offensive playcaller. Our defense is legit, but susceptible to the occasional big play and are sometimes prone to periods where everyone forgets how to tackle. Offensively, we have the talent to get it done but just no real big time playmakers you have to keep an eye on each and every play. Like I said, we gotta play virtually mistake free to have a chance in this one. If we start putting ourselves in bad situations right out of the gate it could get ugly fast.

lol TitansReport is a freakshow. But yeah, a lot of Titan fans seem to be really underestimating the Panthers for some reason. I have no idea why. We've won 4 games in the past season and a half and you guys are 8-0.
-
Yeah that's understandable. Our OL is a work in progress to say the least. Mularkey ran a lot of 2 & 3 TE sets last week so I expect to see more of the same this week. Of course there's really no comparing the Saints front 7 to the Panthers. Honestly, the W would be nice but it'd take a miracle for us to win our division at this point anyway. So I'm mainly just hoping to see us put up a respectable fight against a top team. It sucks to be out of it so early, particularly when this division is so bad and our roster isn't as bad our record indicates. We lost 3 games by 6 combined points and Whisenhunt absolutely cost us the Indy and Buffalo games with idiotic playcalling at the end. We very easily could be 4-4 right now and leading our division.
-
I've said it a bunch, but really our chances in this is all going to boil down to the OL. If they get dominated then it's going to be a long day and I could see a blowout. If they can play at a respectable level then I think Mariota can have some success with the quick passing game and we just might make it a ballgame. For the record I am not optimistic that our OL can holdup.

Weird. I see quote and multi-quote but no edit.
