I have no idea what to expect from this team. We aren't going to know the heart of it until 5 or 6 games. Even if we come out and win the first few games, it doesn't mean much. I'm not upset about the preseason games. You have your starting QB in for 2 drives? Not going to happen in the regular season. If it did, the Falcons would have a superbowl ring. I am a bit concerned about the OL because it isn't that complicated a scheme to block a guy or pick up a stunt.
-
He was watching the linebacker from the beginning and it looked like he was trying to take the inside rusher, not realizing he was going to picked up. Once he saw that he tried to take the outside too late.

I thought it was a good football watch when there isn't much else going on. Mahomes is likely the best QB to play the game. He is just a freak. I thought the Cousins part was interesting too.

DBO stadium. Every time the team wins Matt Rhule has to run from Nebraska and touch it. On second thought, I don't want Matt Rhule touching anything of the Panthers again.
-
I just want to hear Bumper Pool's named called at least once during the season.
-
If they change the rule, they might as well do away with the kickoff. Just start each possession at the 25. It's already to the point where most kickoffs are touchbacks anyway.

For all those ‘I told you so…’ threads/posts coming tonight

I don't care who it is, but I am ready for football season to start. -
Stroud or Young. But I believe it's Stroud. This was an awesome trade. At least we control who we get.
-
Thankful you aren't the Panthers GM. The next step after that is people saying, "Imagine if we had talent around him."
-
I don't think you go hard for Carr. Getting him opens up the 9th pick a little bit and would be a convenience.
-
I thought I saw that too on at least one play.

I feel very strongly about this... Derek Carr.
parker replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd be more happy with Carr than giving up draft picks to move up to snag a guy. We have too many needs. But there are some decent free agent QBs out there too. I think we get one and see what is available at our draft pick. -
A pizza and a hot dog. We should not trade that many picks for one player. Teams win championships.

Reich’s description of a QB: It’s basically Corral
parker replied to Wundrbread33's topic in Carolina Panthers
I liked what I saw from Corral. I wasn't too worried about how he looked in preseason. But I wouldn't bet any money that he was going to be the starter. We need a vet and a rookie until we find out who is the guy. -
This is starting to get nasty with coach wilks.
parker replied to ncguy2184's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the last two games sealed it. With the playoffs on the line we couldnt beat a weak Tampa Bay team and looked like a bumblefug fest against the Saints. The main reason Wilkes looked like a good coach was because we had 2.5 years of Rhule. -
The answer wasn't positive.

I am really interested in Kellen Moore. I'd like to see how he handles the SF defense tonight.
-
You sign him and let him compete with Gonzalez during the summer. I like them both, but am concerned about Gonzalez's injury.

Wilks Set This Team Back
parker replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wilkes got paid to win football games, not plan the future of the Panthers beyond the time he was going to be here. -
Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?
parker replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not sure that's the route either. -
Darnold played good enough to win, but had turnovers. I'm not sure the fumbles were solely his fault, but they were turnovers that helped lose the game. What was anyone really expecting from Norman?
