as of right now do you want wilks as the HC next year
parker replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
He has this team playing ball. But let's see how he leads through the season. Finish out the year and decide. -
It's not like he has much better options.
-
Robbie's "What's that bear doing?" That was pretty much the summation of Rhule's career here.
-
That's like going back to your ex-spouse because you both got divorced again.
-
If he can produce, he stays. I don't see it happening, but it's all about the Ws. We're about to find out really quickly if it was Rhule or the coordinators that had this team sucking on Sunday.
-
I missed the televised version, but love the hit he put on the kicker. LOL
-
It seems when we get a player nobody wants, it's Rhule's decision. Good picks are Frit. If we won the last two games, it would be because of the coaching staff winning in spite of Rhule. Everything bad is Rhule's fault, every good thing is someone else's it seems.
-
I think he personally gets some unfair criticism. For god's sake if the hot dog vendor gave someone a undercooked dog, they'd be blaming that on Rhule too. But the bottom line is as a head coach, he has the responsibility for the W/L and he has not produced. I don't think he is as bad as some people like to paint him, but he isn't good enough to win right now. I'm still giving him this season, but third year, he needs to be able to move from a close loss to a close win at the very least.
-
Last year when we were 2-0, were we the best team in the league?
-
Ironically, if he had said Coach Rhule sucks, his opinion would be legitimized because that's what people want proof of. But the big picture is that coaches are measured by wins, not how good a person they are.

Does anyone else think we could win the South?
parker replied to Stuart Smith's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think so. I think there have been enough changes and upgrades that this team has potential. There are still weaknesses, but I think we might finally have an offense that can make teams play catch up. We'll see around game 5 what we have. -
I think you better hold your horses. This team has attitude. I'm feeling a little optimistic with Mayfield and Co.

Superbowl vs the Patriots. Rams playoff game. That year was magic.
-
Maybe. That would make some sense. I think they are sold on sittting Corral this season at least.
-
Enough said.
-
That's what preseason games are for. Do you think the team doesn't already know who is starting and who isn't or that anyone playing in the second half is really on the roster come cut day? Why do you think he was playing?
-
I thought he looked decent compared to those around him. He is a rookie and most of the guys he was playing with won't be on the Panthers roster.
-
I think you are trying to make a story out of nothing. We have four QBs and they are playing by their chances to start. They aren't rushing Corral out there because he is a rookie and probably not starting this year unless something really bad happens. Walker is gone, but it helps to give him some playing time and maybe get something for him or to give him a chance to go somewhere else.

I feel like this is a game between Carolina Panthers Past and Carolina Panthers Present.
-
I heard from an unnamed inside source that nobody else knows that his agent wanted extra cash for every occurrence should the Panthers start using that stupid Golden Corral nickname.
-
Hurney move to Arizona?
-
I think we keep 3. We are already paying them and all 3 have some injuries last season.
-
Corral has some very good traits you like in a passer. Good footwork, quick release, good arm/accuracy and some scrambling ability. He only dropped because of the injuries and "character issues." The bottom line is he has skills that should make for a good NFL QB. We just need to see if he can put them together on the field and make it happen.
-
I like Corral a lot. He has good footwork and pocket movement, a quick release, good zip on his throws and seems to make quick decisions. I have seen some games where he just tosses the ball up though. But the real question I have is if he can be as successful outside of Lane Kiffin's offense. I think so and I hope so, but need to see him on the field before I'm sold.
