  1. You can be the smartest guy in the world, but you can't play chess with checkers.
  2. We need a solid WR. I doubt we pick one up in FA so best available in the draft. If one does come available in FA, get that one too.
  3. Your Newbie name is right. There were a lot of people that didn't want Reich. He was fired during the season of his last head coaching job too.
  4. His footwork isn't as jittery. Still the same team around him. Still the same plays called. If anything cues you in, it's Dalton asking for different plays in the Seattle game. Bryce is just doing what Reich had called on him to do. The very fact that they chose not to address his footwork until after the season and make sure he knew the playbook first shows how bad the coaching staff has handled him. He is in his own head right now and has no faith in the team around him except maybe Theilen. Bryce can and will be a good NFL QB, but this was not the team or the year to provide that foundation.
  5. This is it. Go look back at the Atlanta game. He was a different QB. But I think a lot of it is coaching. The play calling and plays have sucked. There are other inconsistencies in the team's play that indicate we didn't have the best cohesion of coaches. He's getting pressured consistently and we're sending everyone out on routes. I think they forced too much on him too soon thinking they were QB whispers that were going to have him out playing like a pro from the first snap. Right now, he's in flight mode, waiting for the pocket to collapse, afraid to make a bad decision.
  6. It has nothing to do with seeing over the line. He isn't setting his feet when he throws because he doesn't trust the protection. You can see a difference in the early games and now
  7. It isnt as bad as it looks. We are asking people to do stuff they aren't good at and leaning on a rookie QB to be able make it not look like a poo plan.
  8. The reason this team is bad is because of the coaching. We are undisciplined and the plays are horrible.
  9. At least we moved away from "he's too little he's going to be injured in the first game."
  10. This game is on special teams. Withoutthe punt and the mussed field goal, we are 9-7.
  11. Imagine that. Runbing it with 1 yard to go instead of asking Young to pass it 2x.
  12. Damn Derrick Brown. He gave the rag doll treatment to Kamara
  13. I still watch. When I first moved to North Carolina, on Sundays you'd turn on the tv and be forced to watch the national game or the redskins or dolphins. Then we got a team and I have seen almost every single game. My ego isn't caught up in how the team does so I don't care if they win or lose, they are my team.
  14. Because they want to find some blame for all the losing. Right now it's the one thing that can't be disproved. People were wanting Rhule and Reich fired. Then wehn he does, he's a meddling owner.
  15. I'm going to say this year we would win. Our defense is better and with Wilke's one-sided offense if you stop the run you win. It's funny to hear people praising Sam Darnold now like he was good. Our pass defense was suspect last year and the Bucs showed us how bad it was. As goodnas you imagine that 2022 team to be we only scored 6 more points vs the Bucs with the playoffs on the line and gave up 30. We barely beat the Saints by scoring 10 points. The only advantage Wilkes would have is that he wouldnt let Darnold throw it twice in a row with 1 yard to gain.
  16. First, I think the reason he tried to get Reich to go outside his circle was tied to his experience with Rhule hiring everyone who had played or coached with him. Second, Reich had to be fired. Yes, there are other coaches who lost too, but the team showed no improvement on offense, in fact it regressed or at the very least stagnated. They were as cohesive as a cubist painter on an acid trip and none of the rushing, blocking or passing concepts seemed to fit together. It wasn't who was calling or running the plays, it's the plays and schemes themselves. If Bryce's footwork was a problem, that should have been addressed in training camp. Not trying to learn some anemic offensive system. Let's not forget the amount of false start penalties. Something was definitely wrong with the system. That's the head coach's responsibility. Frank was brought in the help bring an offensive identity to the Carolinas. That identity was not supposed to be The Three Stooges. Starting Sanders over Hubbard should be reason enough to fire the coach. But we just kept sticking with it.
  17. He is not elite. He is good. He really only has his speed technique. That's enough to get him numbers, not enough to be dominant DE or LB.
  18. I think it's because we only needed one yard and threw it 2x. Chubba was running like a man on fire and we decide to throw it 2x.
  19. You want to jump to another sport while we're at it?
  20. Would we be questioning Bryce's play if the team were 11-1?
  21. And guess what. He lost. The veteran pass receiver got two TDs against the worst passing defense in the league at the time and one TD was a broken coverage. Reguardless of what Frank's offense is, it wasn't working.
