Sean Ryan on key Darnold improvement (P-Wire's Rizzuti) & my $0.02
parker replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly. Any change requires repetition and that takes time. -
I just saw a video that said, "Will Greir Highlights. Welcome to Dallas." I didn't watch it because I didn't want to waste 3 seconds.
-
I didn't care for the last two Sequel films. But the Clone Wars-Rebels-Bad Batch-Mandelorian-Rogue One...that's some of the best Star Wars made after the Empire Strikes Back. Even Solo was better than I expected.

Would you be upset if Sam was KC version of Alex Smith?
parker replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope he turns out to be more like a Steve Young. Had horrible stats on a Tampa Bay team. Went to San Fran and led them to a superbowl -
I don't mean to be a downer, but Teddy looked really good the first game. I went back and watched it. He went for 269 and a TD. We won't really know who Darnold is until game 5 or 6.

Official Pittsburgh Steelers at Carolina Panthers Gameday Thread

I don't know how Haskins got out of Washington without Hurney signing him to an outrageous contract. -
As good as our defense looks, he can take some time to get comfortable.

What realistic player would you trade DJ for?
parker replied to Tommy Jone's topic in Carolina Panthers
He is a first round pick - star player. He needs at least a 1rst round pick, at the very least. But I see no reason to trade him. Maybe a first and a player. -
That's great.

Grier, but in any case, I don't think either gets picked up once they are cut. I think PJ has more excitement value, but he is basically playing backyard football. Grier looked more decisive and NFL capable.
-
I think the biggest problem is that after years of wasted draft picks after the first round, people think a team can turn around in a season. We really sucked the last few years of Rivera. Our defense, even with Luke, was horrible. Our offense was mediocre. We might do better this year, but we are still one or two years away from being solid.

Perspective, Directive, and Erective - The Panthers offensive woes and you
parker replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
It looked to me like Paradis was doing a 5 step drop. -
Not bringing in competition for Darnold or Slye was a huge mistake
parker replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you go back over the past preseason games, most 1rst teamers don't play more than a series or two until the 3rd preseason game and then it's usually only a half. It's not like this is anything new. It's not like Darnold was the only starter held out. Preseason doesn't mean poo and it's really just a glorified training to sell tickets. -
Clausen was worse. Grier looked OK. He had at least one good throw that got fumbled away and the Oline put him in a 3rd and long on the wrong side of the field. Hell, he was playing behind our 3rd string Oline. Almost everyone here complains about protection from the starters. I thought PJ played well except for the almost interception in the end zone. He has the athletic ability, but he's mainly a scramble and chunk guy. I don't see him being able to lead a team consistently yet.

Just save their seat on the bandwagon. They don't like the bumps, but love the destination.

Matt Rhule after 1st Joint Practice with the Colts
parker replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
I like the fact that they are evaluating the team this way. It's not even the first preseason game. Even at that, it will still be preseason. Until they start handing out practice trophies, the team needs time to make it's adjustments and growing pains. -
Christian McCaffrey - Back to Pre-Injury Form?
parker replied to Greatman77's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've seen some of the videos from training camp and he looks solid. -
Did she have a video camera? Bellicheck might be chasing a new low with Brady gone.

Same thing here on WSFX. Panthers.com said it would be on there, but not yet at least.

Carolina Panthers Training Camp - Sunday Morning Thoughts and Musings
parker replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Keep telling yourself they weren't going to build a whole team in this year's draft. We are still a few years out from revamping this team, depending on how this year's draft picks turn out. -
I heard him mentioned Shi, but I haven't heard any other reports about how he is doing.
-
Let training camp sort it out. Most of those guys will still be able to be signed if the coaching staff can't see any improvement in Walker/Grier.
-
I hope he works his ass off and comes into training camp and proves me wrong. I wouldn't bet on it, but I wish him the best.

I came over here from there. It got to be where there wasn't a lot of panthers news and just bickering between members going from thread to thread.
