  1. Pretty sure TB wanted him to back up Brady last yea before we overpaid him and let him start. That hasn't changed. They have Blaine Gabbert as backup now, but Bridgewater would be an upgrade if he's cool to restructure.
  2. I suspect keeping him is no longer an option. I don't think the relationship between the current staff and Teddy appears to be the best. Also, cutting him post 6/1 saves us $7.9M. That ain't chump change.
  3. Agree. #39 SHOULD be considered a starter from day 1, unless we draft a project QB that we plan to sit for a while to learn, which is an option. Since I've chosen to consider Darnold a rookie project QB, I hope we come away from round 2 with a starter at LT and CB.
  4. WFT's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for #39, which he uses on Aaron Banks, the 5th best LG in the draft that he immediately plans to move to LT. Genius!! BTW, when TF are they going to get a name?? It's been over a year already. They should call themselves the no-congressional term limits, that's the scariest thing in DC that I can think of.
  5. exactly. After QB, I think LT is the most important position on the field, followed by DE/CB. That's why they cost the most in FA. That 5th year option is very important.
  6. Olivia MIGHT dump CMC and decide to jump on my fat, 48 year old ass... Actually, with WFT's D, and their weak AF division, they could get deep into the playoffs with just minor upgrades on offense. Although, I have to admit, i haven't followed their offseason.
  7. Cam only comes in in the red zone and for the 4th quarter. This could actually work!
  8. Rapoport said he's open to reworking it if it helps get a deal done. I've said a few times that he'd be one of the best backups in the league, like he was in 2019. He just has no reason to be a fulltime starter. It would definitely behoove him rework his deal. Backups quickly get forgotten if they're riding the pine. He was able to pull off a good deal last year by stringing together a few good games in 2019, and Dalton did the same thing this year. Someone will be desperate enough in 2022 to consider starting him.
  9. Also, the Jets had to give a lot of thought to what they could trade the #2 pick for before letting Sam go. After SF set the value so high, they had to wait it out a little while before trading away their backup plan.
  10. I thought that too, BUT Watson and Darnold are 2 very different trades.
  11. me too, but hopefully that 2nd rounder ends up being #64.
  12. I like Paye, but if we do draft him, I hope it's not at 8.
  13. Today. I'm still thinking Pride has a lot of potential considering he got thrown to the wolves last season. Having a veteran probowler and a full off season can't do anything but help him get better. Plus, this move does nothing to deter my hopes of getting a CB by day 2.
  14. especially with a 17th game now. We still would get him for 15.
  15. Post Sam Darnold trade: #8 Rashawn Slater, LT, NW #39. Ifeatu Melifonwu, CB, SYR. I wanted his brother a few years ago, and I want him now.
  16. OK Fua, you've convinced me. Darnold has potential to be a franchise QB if our staff can somehow unlock it. I'm onboard the Sam Express, and I am on record a couple of weeks ago as preferring Minchew to Darnold. Go Panthers, Keep Pounding!
  17. Underwhelming compared to all the crazy offseason theories we've seen, but this would NOT be a bad thing. Locking down A franchise LT or CB for 5 years would be huge! After QB, these are our 2 biggest needs.
