  1. Maybe Erving just isn't 100% yet and they want to ease him back in. Anyone know who lined up at RT?
  2. Yeah, I came away from the WR 1-1's thinking 1, Anderson can't be guarded, 2, the Marshall hype is real. He's a beast, 3, Bayless, Cannon, and Saunders are going toe-to-toe for that final roster spot. That will be fun to watch throughout preseason.
  3. I don't remember seeing anything about Hartsfield being hurt. Anyone know what happened?
  4. I hear ya. Hoskins was another fringe guy on my list. So many new guys on the bottom of the list, it's hard to get a feel for everyone. I am impressed with how much we keep churning those last 5 guys on the roster. Much more than previous years it seems.
  5. Unfortunately, he has it. TB is stacked.
  6. First, sweet tea and blue jeans is the greatest country music song title EVER! Second, I was going to say him, but, dammit, he will always get a pass from me for getting us a team. I just wish he had sold about 15 years sooner.
  7. He's got to make it through 15 weeks before we even see him. For a 82 year old man, that's a long season.
  8. I admit that I don't know much about Taylor, but I did mean to include him on my poachable list. He was a fringe guy for me, but I ended up giving his roster spot to Chandler. Mainly because of how much Rhule talked up Chandler's ST play recently. I haven't heard Taylor mentioned in camp.
  9. Agreed. I see Fox moving inside on passing plays. That's the way he was used last year when he had 6 sacks, 8 TFL, and 9 QB hits. When he moves inside, YGM takes his spot on the end. This isn't a knock on YGM, but Fox outplayed him last year, and we were lucky to land him on a 2 year / $8M deal. The way the D-line rotates, there will be plenty of snaps for everyone.
  10. Yessir! Let's just hope that the new regime changes this. So far from last year YGM, Chinn and Roy are looking solid. Pride may prove a decent back-up, at least. And I'm even more excited about this year's draftees. We're looking at 3-4 guys that could end up making a significant impact, other that Horn.
  11. Still makes me wonder what Carter did to get on Rhule's shitlist. It was pretty evident early on that Whitehead was no longer any good.
  12. OK, so this probably warrants it's own thread, but in order to answer your question, I had to figure out who was PS bound, so I made my way-too-early depth chart. The only real threat of being poached is Bayless. Maybe Rodney Smith, but decent, not quite good enough, RB's are a dime a dozen. As you can see, I have Shi and Pride making the team. Obviously, there will be cast offs from other teams that can churn the bottom of our roster. For example, we still need a return specialist and I could definitely see us picking up a vet DT or another LB. RT Moton Christensen RG Miller Daley C Paradis LG Elflein Deonte Brown LT Erving Scott RB CMC Hubbard Rod Smith FB QB Darnold Walker Greir TE Arnold Tremble Thomas WR DJ Anderson Marshall WR David Moore Shi Smith Cannon Zylstra? DE Burns Haynes Miller DE Fox YGM DT Brown Roy Hoskins DT Jones Nixon LB Reddick Stanford Bynes LB Shaq Carter Perryman CB Jackson Melvin CB Horn Bouye Pride S Burris Chandler S Chinn Franklin K Slye P Charlton LS Fletcher K/PR David Moore Cannon Shi Smith PS Fisher LB Tecklenburg C Johnston LB Kaskey T Taylor CB Rodney Smith RB STO CB Sullivan TE Robinson S Bayless WR Hartsfield DB Saunders WR
  13. Does that scenario involve Darnold looking like he has for the last 3 years? My statement was assuming he would be at least a middle of the pack QB.
  14. Losing Julio and Brees has to be a kick in the nuts to ATL and NO. I can't see either being better than us. Now, TB is another story. They're the team to beat again. I swear Brady sold his soul to the devil years ago.
  15. I ASSUME that Erving is the LT, but if (almost said when, knock on wood) he goes down with an injury, Moton slides over and Scott plays RT. I originally thought Moton would stay put and Scott would be backup LT. He held his own there last year. Jeez, I can't wait to see what happens Sunday.
  16. I just read that today, with Erving out, they moved Moton to LT1 and Scott to RT1. THAT isn't exactly a good sign for BC.
  17. And he ain't exactly fighting for a roster spot. Seriously, I shiver to think of him picking up a blitz from some on-the-fringe LB in camp.
  18. Damn, I was hoping that BC would get those RT reps with Moton on the left. was just defending him in another thread. Oh well, Scott DOES have experience at RT as well, good for him.
  19. I agree with the statement, but I wouldn't call Shaq on of those. He didn't miss a game last year, and has been in 14 every year since we signed him.
  20. Yeah, but we have to remember that BC never played guard in college, he was strictly LT. Combine that with the fact that most of his reps in camp have been at tackle, and I wouldn't expect him to be beating out vets that have played G for years. He's trying to learn a new position while practicing it sparingly. I think he's a smart, athletic player who will make his splash before the season is up. At least I really hope so.
