  1. The temptation, for me, is definitely there to take the deal, maybe make them throw in another 3rd or 4th rounder. They have 2 picks in each of the first 4 rounds. IF (and it's a big if) we see BC as a starting LT, it's a no brainer. Obviously, if we feel the need to draft our starting LT, the lower our pick the better. KC's 2022 picks 1st round (29th overall) 1st round (30th overall) 2nd round (50th overall) 2nd round (62nd overall) 3rd round (94th overall) 3rd round (103rd overall) 4th round (121st overall) 4th round (135th overall) 7th round (234th overall) 7th round (244th overall) 7th round (252nd overall) 7th round (260th overall)
  2. I had to take this a step further. Career earnings of $4,727,542 and a 9 year total snap count of 918 (most on ST) = $5,149.83 every time he got off the bench. Way to work the system Kenjon!
  3. This was my first thought. New coach wants to build HIS team immediately. Willing to bet that the elevated cap space will allow him to play more in free agency next year.
  4. My momma threatening to "beat my @$$ until my nose bled" worked for me, but these are different times, so, in the interest of building a better online community: 5 Sites and Apps to Relearn Kindness and Become a Better Person https://www.makeuseof.com/sites-and-apps-to-relearn-kindness-become-a-better-person/
  5. First, good frikin post. I appreciate actual discussion, instead of just another thread about how much our coach, owner, qb, list of available qb's, etc. suck. Ionnidis played 59% of the snaps last year (same as Jones) and only missed games in 2020, so I hope it's just sour grapes with the Washington fans. This guy has a knack for getting to the QB, and SHOULD be an upgrade. Nixon looked pretty good with the few snaps he played, and I expect him to part of the regular rotation this season. I honestly can't remember enough about Hoskins to have an opinion. I think that we'll end up picking up another DT before all is said and done. Probably not a big name, but hopefully a solid contributor.
  6. and THEN draft a QB. This sounds like a solid plan if you think Christensen is a starting LT and you can still draft a franchise LG with the new second round draft pick you just traded for.
  7. Simm's opinion(I know he has his own thread) was that Pickett and Corrall were the only 2 that might be worth a first rd pick. He didn't ACTUALLY say this, he just said that the other 3 were not. Also, NONE were top 10 picks. I admit that I don't know poo about this year's QB class having only seen Howell play in an actual game instead of highlight film.
  8. This would be my best case scenario (or pick up Minshew for peanuts, and roll with him). I THINK that the staff will draft a QB.
  9. beautiful side-arm throw, Did you notice how he kept his feet moving and his throwing motion ended with his hand on his opposite pec?? Simms would draft uncle Rico ahead of any of this qb class. HE could have gone pro!
  10. They can keep their second, I'd give them #6 for #20, #84, and bring Alex Highsmith home to NC.
  11. I think Rhule was told to let the arm thing go. He wants to 3-D print what each position player should look like and it doesn't work like that. AND, when he finally did get around to starting him at LT the last few games, BC plated the position well. Hell, even Rhule admitted his fug-up, https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2022/03/03/panthers-hc-matt-rhule-brady-christensen-lt-combine/ I haven't seen enough to say Christensen is the long term answer at LT, but I feel that he starts there or at LG this year, and finds success.
  12. Hell, I'd just like to see a competent offensive line!
  13. He was the starter on the reigning SB champs; he was going to get paid. I'm happy we're the ones that landed him. Right side looking strong.
  14. He and Moton should have the right side locked down.
  15. I think the price is too High for Watson, assuming that wit's what Op speculates; (Two 1sts, Two 2nds, a 5th and 3 players). We have too many holes on the team to throw that kind of scratch at any 1 player. I will ALWAYS be a panthers fan.
  16. I like this. I honestly don't see the huge drop off between these 3 and Pickett or Willis. In fact, without the knee injuries, Howell would probably go ahead of the other 2. There's a good chance that either of these 3 would sit a lot, if not all, of the season behind Sam, but we honestly need the extra draft pick on the line. Hopefully at Center. I think BC has earned a chance to play LT.
  17. I'd be very surprised if Fitterer, based on last year, didn't trade back and try to get at least a round 2 pick back for us. Not that I've played around enough to even fathom a guess on who would want to trade with us.
  18. From Jeremiah: "The Panthers are desperate for O-line help. This is a little early for Penning, but he has guard/tackle flexibility and he'll start from Day 1 in Carolina."
  19. I was a fan of trying to trade back a few and picking up Jones or Slater. Jones isn't the most athletic, but he's better than average, which is better than what we've had in 3 years.
