To answer your question, I feel that a superstar HC is more important that a superstar QB. A great coach can make his players look better that they are (look at what's going on with Russell in Denver). However... A superstar coach would know that we tanked, and would recognize the talent (good and bad) on our roster when making a decision. Edit: This would have been an entertaining poll question.

I like how tremble is coming along recently as well. They're letting him catch the ball some. Also, Wilkes even figured out how to get value out of Erving, one of the worst non-QB moves made under the Rhule regime, bringing him in as an extra run-blocker. If that ain't polishing a turd, nothing is.

I know it's early and we don't know where we pick, but I would not bitch about Will Anderson or Myles Murphy. A stout DE on a rookie contract is never a bad idea.

I agree with you 100% except for Jackson and Moore. I have no issue with either contract. Jackson is a solid CB, and while a top 12-15 pick would be nice, Moore will be a huge asset to whoever our QB is next year. The rest of our WR squad is raw AF (except Higgins, who has been an afterthought all season).

I agree, BUT... Burns is a very, very good player, but I would have a lot of trouble turning down 2 rd 1 picks and a 2nd for him. very very good DE's get very very big contracts. I think he can be replaced by a rookie, even if we bundle a few picks to move earlier into the first to pick him. And that would leave us on a 5 year cheap deal with extra picks. I loves me some Burns, but that's a lot to turn down. Who ever is QB next year will need DJ, and his contract is doable. We would have been idiots to trade him.

You're right, but in his defense he wasn't allowed to throw in that game. No one is claiming that he's the second coming of Joe Montana. It's just proof that with a half way decent QB we have a good team.

Not sure. I didn't realize that Elflein was on IR, I thought Bozeman just got promoted. I obviously have no idea what's going on behind the scenes, but I could see Wilkes, a defensive guy, not wanting to mess around with a O-line that was playing well together going into last week. And Elf hasn't been bad, just kinda blah.

Adding a vet TE through FA would be best case scenario for a rookie QB. Even if that "rookie" is Corral. BTW, I'm not lobbying for NOT drafting a QB.
