  1. And yet he was one of only 4 safeties that wasn't scored on last year. Interesting fact. BTW, I still agree that he's best when closer to the line.
  2. Also worth noting that he's been talking to Coach Cooley, the CB/secondary coach about his role, not the LB or safeties coaches. He's not going to be sitting on the bench, they'll figure out how to get him on the field.
  3. I think this was the first time I've seen him in a sit down interview, not post game. Smart, well put together guy. We better figure out a way to keep him. FWIW the franchise tag for a safety is $6.5 less than a LB; just saying.
  4. The last Mock I saw had him available at 39. I would not be sad at all if we picked him up.
  5. I wish that they sold that poo by the quart.
  6. Yeah that’s interesting, must have been a Rhule guy I wouldn't read too much into it. Smith is a small slot receiver that we picked up at the end of round 6. With Theilen coming onboard, Shi's touches are definitely going to be limited. He's not exactly going to challenge Theilen for a starting role. TMJ and Shenault were both second round guys that we all expect more from. With Theilen at slot and Chark taking the top off of defenses, these 2 are fighting to be the other guy (however you want to refer to that position as, not trying to reopen THAT can of worms). I assume that there will be a rookie or another FA brought into that competition as well.
  7. In Tepper's defense, Rhule was being wooed by several NFL teams. He wasn't the only one that was fooled by Rhule's college success. Now, giving him total control was obviously a screwup, but I assume that was the only was to land him; let him control "the process". I hate that we did it, but at the time I was stoked that Tep got him and Joe Brady. Hind sight is a sonofabitch.
  8. Granted, Cowherd is an idiot and will say anything to get clicks. But, everything he said about Reich's ability to coax talent out of mediocre QB's is well documented. Also, I really think that both Young and Stroud will end up having productive careers in the NFL.
  9. Considering my content is 90% smart-ass comments and inappropriate gifs, I'm glad my girls aren't on here.
  10. He's the guy I want. You have to assume we're at least asking about him.
  11. Dang that video got me all giddy over whoever we pick! I know that there are threads specifically about this, but 2 good, veteran receivers, a top RB with good hands a pass catching TE, a top 5 O-line with everyone returning, Reich and McCown being former QB's, Dalton fully accepting that his job is to get you ready for week 1... oooh weee man! You gotta be praying that the panthers draft you.
  12. There will be a LOT of interest in Houston's preseason regardless of who we pick!
  13. TBF, Mays lined up as FB a number of times last season and looks like he could throw Young in for an extra point.
  14. C'mon let me take 1 out of context comment and completely change my take on who the pick is until someone says something positive about Stroud tomorrow and I flip flop back to him.
  15. Same. The "He had a little bit better arm than we thought.” comment suggests that he may have either passed Stroud or cemented his position above Stroud.
  16. Why did I think this was a thread about how much money we have left?
  17. True, but it's hard to hate on $133 fully guaranteed.
  18. Just for my understanding, the contract he turned down was 3 year $133M fully guaranteed, right? That's $44.3M / year. Deshaun only got $46M. He could have finished that up as a very wealthy man and still only be 29 yo, with a lot of football left to play if healthy. If not healthy...he's fully guaranteed!
