  1. I will be happy with either Stroud or Young, although Stroud is my preference. That being said, The fact that several reports are coming out of the Panthers organization, in early April, saying that Young is the guy actually makes me think that Stroud is the guy.
  2. Recalculating based on #1 overall QB picks: 11 total 6 homeruns (Lawrence, Burrow, Luck, Cam, Stafford, Ryan) 1 incomplete (Murray) 3 mixed results (Mayfield, Goff, and Bradford) 1 miss (Winston) Miss = 1 9%. All the more reason to trade up for the cream of the crop instead of waiting to see who's left at #9 or trading for someone that another team is getting rid of.
  3. How are we having this discussion on a serious fotball thread?!?! Besides, everyone knows that Jeremy Chinn a damn good looking man.
  4. Hell, they got too many QB's as is.
  5. Played RG his final 3 years. Interesting fact, 4 year starter that never gave up a sack in his entire career. I still think that G is a luxury pick at 39.
  6. I don't think Chin ever becomes a fulltime LB, more of a hybrid/big nickel guy. I think a lot of people are picturing Luvu as OLB instead of a ILB in this system. If that happens, ILB would become a need.
  7. Hey now, let's leave politics in the tinderbox. LOL
  8. I think we should take a mid to late round OL/DL guy every draft. Mays and McCall both contributed last year. I also think that we re-sign Erving before all is said and done, and hope he never has to start. He is a decent backup swing tackle.
  9. I think we have to hit on a couple of defensive players to make a playoff run. We've already addressed the offensive side so much. TE and WR are certainly areas that could benefit from a young playmaker, and if the right guy drops, I have no issue picking one, but I would prefer D.
  10. QB obviously. After that I have our needs as CB, Edge (2nd only because of the quality FA's still out there. I think we sign 1 pre-draft), ILB. If we can get a day 1 starter at 39 in either of those 3 positions, I'm stoked. With our 3rd pick we should be able to land a talented NT or TE (deep draft), or even a WR. I think that Fitterer is likely to trade up into the low 80's to gran one of these.
  11. The more I think about it, the more CB becomes our biggest need at 39 IMO. $14 is insane for Henderson, who has never shown himself as a starter. Add in Horn and Jackson's propensity for injury, and it outweighs pass rusher, LB and WR. EDIT: as long as we don't reach! We need to nail that pick since we gave up #1 next year.
  12. There's a lot of discussion in that blurb about Stroud being football smart and reading the defense. He may not be as intelligent as Young, but it's not like he's a dumbass. Add that to his size and accuracy and it's a no brainer IMO.
  13. Do not say "process" around here, it's forbidden!
  14. And yet he was one of only 4 safeties that wasn't scored on last year. Interesting fact. BTW, I still agree that he's best when closer to the line.
  15. Also worth noting that he's been talking to Coach Cooley, the CB/secondary coach about his role, not the LB or safeties coaches. He's not going to be sitting on the bench, they'll figure out how to get him on the field.
  16. I think this was the first time I've seen him in a sit down interview, not post game. Smart, well put together guy. We better figure out a way to keep him. FWIW the franchise tag for a safety is $6.5 less than a LB; just saying.
  17. The last Mock I saw had him available at 39. I would not be sad at all if we picked him up.
  18. I wish that they sold that poo by the quart.
