  1. A few ex-panthers on the list: CMC # 27, Reddick #64 (I hate that we let him walk), Stephon Gilmore # 75. James Bradberry (one of my favorites while he was here) got an honorable mention.
  2. I know that we had a very similar post about Ekwonu A couple of weeks ago, but it's the slow news season. Plus this guy seems intelligent and his voice doesn't make me want to cry.
  3. I love that they had DJ at 93 and were willing to trade up if necessary. Makes me wonder how many other teams had him graded higher than the internet experts? He was the only guy that immediately felt like a reach, so I really want him to come in and kick some ass.
  4. The only way it changes is if the NFLPA bans turf. Which I think is right around the corner.
  5. I couldn't read the rest of the rankings without the subscription, but I'm curious about the other teams. I simply cannot believe that only the Texans are worse on offense than we are. Our WR's ARE questionable, whether that be how much gas ids left in the tank, can they stay healthy, or can they finally take a step forward. BUT, we vastly improved our passing game from the TE and RB (post CMC) viewpoint. We looked pretty good (not great) the 2nd half of last year with 0 passing game from TE or RB. Let's not kid ourselves, we played smash mouth football under Wilkes because that was basically our only option. Add into the position upgrades comments from Tremble about not really getting route trees from his coaches last season, and there's no way you can say we haven't improved.
  6. Nice view, You may be closer than the last seats I got.
  7. He was one of the first guys we re-signed this offseason. The few times he's come in at safety, he didn't look like an obvious weakness. Good guy to have on the team. Signing a ST player is like dating an ugly girl. They know they have to try harder if they want to stick around.
  8. He did get the flag for throwing the returner to the ground out of bounds which cancelled out the holding call, but I love the energy anyway!
  9. He obviously is a very good WR with plenty left in the tank, but for someone that will turn 30 early in the season, his contract is crazy bad! I'm gonna go No, thank you.
  10. I agree, but potential is the key word here. We have a new HC, a new OC, a new WR coach, a new passing game coordinator 3 new QB's, and 3 new WR's. Our 3 returning receivers; TMJ, Shenault and (maybe) Shi, had a whopping 28 receptions 490 yards 1 TD, 27 receptions 272 yards 1 TD, and 22 receptions 296 yards 2 TD's, respectively. Hard to imagine how it all will come together with having barely seen anyone play.
  11. Wright might beat them all out for top PS guy and if he could return a punt, would push Byrd and Smith for a roster spot. Other than that omission (IMO), you're spot on. I wonder if we keep 7 this year.
  12. That was a great draft! Interestingly enough, they went to poo 4 years later.
  13. Jeez, that was a fun season.
  14. Well said. I cringe every time I hear about batted balls when the o-line isn't allowed to block yet. Unfortunately, because of his size, it will be an ongoing narrative, even from our own reporters. And heaven help us if he ever so much as stubs his toe. The press will have a field day with that.
  15. Worth a roster spot on ST's though. He was my bottom of the roster man-crush last year.
  16. Derrick brown Deonte is a huge SOB also. He was "playing" D-line in a drill with Moton and Mays and dwarfed them.
  17. Isn't he the one that took a covid year off?
  18. I expect to see a lot of Young to Thielen completions this season! And a lot of Taylor slips in coverage, unfortunately.
  19. Not to take anything away from Sanders, but that was a damned good line. Let's hope that ours steps up to that level with another year under their belts.
