  1. During the 2017 offseason, McCown, his wife Natalie, and their four children moved from Waxhaw, North Carolina to Waxahachie, Texas. - from WIKI. He grew up and played all his college ball in Texas, probably why he ended his career there. Also, says he grew up a Dallas fan, eww.
  2. I don’t think they’ll want CMC. The team has a lot of needs and loading up on draft picks is a much better use than adding a RB, even one as good as CMC. And if paying a RB 16m a year isn’t sound strategy, why expect someone else to do it and bail us out. I'm not sure they would want that contract, BUT, they have a ton more cap space than most and CMC is a proven superstar, which puts asses in the seats and sells jerseys. Especially in a big market like NYC. Again, this is the article, not my opinion. As much as I love CMC, we definitely win with this deal.
  3. According to the article, we trade CMC, plus picks #8, and #39. "If they could somehow convince the Jets to take Christian McCaffrey, the No. 8 pick and a little sweetener for the No. 2 pick, the Panthers would come out as a massive winner. This is not any hatred toward one of our favorite NFL players in CMC, who is an absolute stud on and off the field, but paying a running back $16 million per year isn't a winning strategy."
  4. That would be excellent! Jones in ATL makes perfect sense. They even look alike.
  5. I think TB has the makings to be one of the better backups in the NFL (like he was in 2019). He just doesn't need to start. Are they willing to pay $17M for good backup is the question. If so, I'd trade him just to be rid of the salary and run with PJ as our #2.
  6. Absolutely. Between him and Kerr being better than expected, we had a much better IDL than I expected, especially after losing KK. Grabbing a FA or mid-round pick DT that can pass rush would be idea. Hitting on your late picks is how good teams stay good. We're lucky that Rhule knew what kind of player he could be.
  7. I think he was pretty good for a 4th rounder, thrown to the wolves, without a strong supporting class. I think (hope) that he steps up to starter level this season, but he has the potential to be a solid backup at least.
  8. Solid write up Sax. But, if I'm being honest, I'd pie any non-QB thread at this point.
  9. "Chris Clark Things didn't get much better in 2018. Clark had a cheap contract compared to Kalil but he also struggled. Clark started 13 forgettable games in 2018 then left for Houston" Very true statement. I had completely forgotten about Clark.
  10. I've read good things about Cosmi and Humphrey, but haven't seen either play. The others are mysteries to me. Although, Jordan at 77 is intriguing. The last TE from Miami we had did OK.
  11. If all 6 of those players are gone, I'd personally put Slater, Surtain and Farley ahead of Pitts. Although a rock star TE would fill a big need.
  12. I just haven't seen in any Mock drafts it before yesterday. Lance had pretty much been the consensus #4 QB, right or wrong.
  13. Cool name, cannon of an arm. What round do you think he falls to?
  14. I assume that Rhule would have a similar answer if Wilson really wants to have that much say. Rhule doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that puts up with a lot of BS.
  15. Illegal (by today's standards...perfectly acceptable at the time) or not, it was bad ass. I might make it my screensaver.
  16. In this scenario, we pick him over Lance. That's the 2nd mock in 2 days that have us doing that.
  17. That is my take on Jones as well. Good value at our second pick, especially if we got a LT at #8 OK, since this is all just speculation...We go LT at 8, then trade #39 and 2022 2nd round pick to Miami to pick Jones at 18. IF he makes it past SF and NE.
  18. 3 game winning streak early in the season felt awesome. Pitching a shutout to the Lions with our young, patchwork D felt pretty good. Barely beating a terrible team in week 16 when your already out of the playoffs... not so much. Like you, anytime we play I cheer to win. But the reality of what that meaningless win cost us is hard to ignore. EDIT: Fug you Ron!
  19. Struttin his @$$ to the west coast!
  20. Texas hold 'em, lol. honestly, that's what my brain read, I'm sorry.
  21. Recent reports make it look like Tepper was the guy who wanted (injured) Cam gone.
  22. Greg and Smitty laying solid blocks, and Cam doing what Cam does (did?)! We needed a little off season happiness, and I happened to stumble across this clip. I defy you not to grin.
