  1. That IS a bold thought. I was thinking similarly, since he and Marshall have a very similar skill set, but remembered that he and Sam actually had decent chemistry in NY. Might be nice for Sam to have him around, plus, he's a Temple guy. He did piss off Sir Purr though, so he could be on his way out!
  2. With the injury history of our o-line, I was thinking the same. The good thing is that several of them can paly multiple positions well. I see DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Terrace Marshall, David Moore, Shi Smith, Brandon Zylstra. with the first 4 as locks.
  3. Miller is a RG, and Brown is a LG. Someone said a few years ago that switching from RG to LG was like trying to wipe your ass with your left hand; it's possible, but it ain't natural. (I'm wildly paraphrasing, but you get the gist). I agree with your sentiment though. Brown will have a hard time beating out Elfein and/or Erving for LG. Since both vets have been injury prone, I think he'll get his shot sooner or later. I also think that Erving may be day 1 LT, although Christensen has a much better chance at starting than Brown does.
  4. As a former high school long snapper, I applaud you for your vast understanding of the nuances of the game sir. And you can bet your happy @$$ that I told girls I was a starter
  5. Not trying to turn this into another QB "discussion", but I like your description of Sam as a question mark. I'm of the mindset that we have to completely disregard his time in NY, so no one has a clue what we're getting. Could be a pro-bowler, could crash and burn. My guess is somewhere in between, and certainly better than what we had in Teddy. Since the thread is about age...he's only 23!
  6. Almost spit my coffee out. I LOVE the simile here, well played.
  7. Girls have told me my whole life that length doesn't matter!
  8. So long Radunz, we barely knew thee.
  9. Oh poo. I missed the part where we gave give them a 5th. We'll see how it plays out, but all my guys left over from last night were still on the board, and I'm not sure what they're doing. FWIW... Moehrig, radunz, jenkins, Eichenburg, and Humphrey were my guys.
  10. We actually did a poo ton of stuff in the off season to address IOL. Miller, Erving, and Elfein are all starting guards (if healthy) on most lines, even if they're not stars. I'd love a young C/G like Humphrey, Meinerz or Dickerson, but we still NEED a LT that can eventually take the reigns. every round, that chance gets slimmer. Off season moves: (I wanted to track it all myself, even if it has nothing to do with the post) 1. Keep our (good) linemen; Scott & Miller re-signed, Moton tagged. 2. Pass rush; Reddick, Fox, Perryman. 3. Oline flexibility; Elfein & Erving can play anywhere on the line. 4. Red Zone targets; Moore and Arnold. 5. Grab a vet CB and DT; Jones & Bouye 6. Do EVERTHING humanly possible to upgrade QB. How much of an upgrade remains to be seen.
  11. We don't actually need a day 1 LT. Erving is actually pretty good, he just can't finish a season due to injuries. If we can draft a developmental guy that can start by mid-October and turn into a franchise guy, that's a huge win. Erving can step back to veteran depth across the line.
  12. I just hope we can coach him up enough to play soft, bend-don't-break football, lol.
  13. WTF is up with that? Did you see the fans at the draft? (I was watching ABC) The announcers actually said "bless his heart" because no one cheered. Payton Turner, ??
