  1. They should let Smitty run routes against him and just talk poo for a few hours. Smitty is undoubtedly a first ballot HOF poo-talker!
  2. To all those guys (myself included) bitching about the all the O-line movement - THIS. While I still wish we had a pretty solid idea of who our starters were, yesterday was not the day to judge.
  3. Versatility is awesome for the backups. Scott, Elflein, and Erving can each back up multiple positions on the line, which is great. The problem is, none should be starting. If Moton can make the move to LT without much drop off, I'm all for it, but it's time to poo or get off the pot.
  4. Like all of us, Rhule knows he has an o-line that is striving for mediocre and a reclamation QB. No reason to to bust their balls for playing the way they're expected. WR, on the other hand, is somewhere where we should be top 5, or better. he's just trying to light a fire under their asses. Plus, we have a lot of young guys fighting for those last 1 - 2 roster spots and the coaches are trying to separate someone from the pack.
  5. Jeez @kungfoodude, I'm picking up what you're putting down today. You're just making too much sense. I was pissed when we traded out of 52 with Radunz still on the board, and honestly, when we DID finally get around to drafting I was thinking Humphries. I never gave much thought to drafting a WR early. Looks like I was happily wrong.
  6. It's a great story, but for him to make the 53, players like Zylstra, Bayless, and Cannon have to be cut. The odds are definitely against him. I DO see him getting a PS spot though.
  7. Good point. I have every confidence that horn will become a stud, hopefully sooner than later, and DJ will continue to be solid. Other than that, we have 2 vets that we're trying to milk the last few drops of talent out of and a bunch of youngsters that were late round picks. Granted, we're improved over last season, but we still have a ways to go.
  8. Why would he? He practices across from Burns, Reddick, Haynes & Miller.
  9. Horn definitely got smoked on the 1-1's. That was on the live stream. Cringeworthy.
  10. Maybe Erving just isn't 100% yet and they want to ease him back in. Anyone know who lined up at RT?
  11. Yeah, I came away from the WR 1-1's thinking 1, Anderson can't be guarded, 2, the Marshall hype is real. He's a beast, 3, Bayless, Cannon, and Saunders are going toe-to-toe for that final roster spot. That will be fun to watch throughout preseason.
  12. I don't remember seeing anything about Hartsfield being hurt. Anyone know what happened?
  13. I hear ya. Hoskins was another fringe guy on my list. So many new guys on the bottom of the list, it's hard to get a feel for everyone. I am impressed with how much we keep churning those last 5 guys on the roster. Much more than previous years it seems.
  14. Unfortunately, he has it. TB is stacked.
  15. First, sweet tea and blue jeans is the greatest country music song title EVER! Second, I was going to say him, but, dammit, he will always get a pass from me for getting us a team. I just wish he had sold about 15 years sooner.
  16. He's got to make it through 15 weeks before we even see him. For a 82 year old man, that's a long season.
  17. I admit that I don't know much about Taylor, but I did mean to include him on my poachable list. He was a fringe guy for me, but I ended up giving his roster spot to Chandler. Mainly because of how much Rhule talked up Chandler's ST play recently. I haven't heard Taylor mentioned in camp.
  18. Agreed. I see Fox moving inside on passing plays. That's the way he was used last year when he had 6 sacks, 8 TFL, and 9 QB hits. When he moves inside, YGM takes his spot on the end. This isn't a knock on YGM, but Fox outplayed him last year, and we were lucky to land him on a 2 year / $8M deal. The way the D-line rotates, there will be plenty of snaps for everyone.
  19. Yessir! Let's just hope that the new regime changes this. So far from last year YGM, Chinn and Roy are looking solid. Pride may prove a decent back-up, at least. And I'm even more excited about this year's draftees. We're looking at 3-4 guys that could end up making a significant impact, other that Horn.
  20. Still makes me wonder what Carter did to get on Rhule's shitlist. It was pretty evident early on that Whitehead was no longer any good.
