Carolina Panthers Training Camp - Sunday Thread

Yeah. I was hoping we would see our young players be the answer and give me a little more hope. Maybe in a couple of years they will be there or maybe we will have filled those holes adequately I still think that preseason games will answer some of these questions. there have been very limited padded practices so far. -

Tecklenberg? That can't be right. My guess would be that Elfein is the back up center, although I haven't heard anything about him taking snaps there in camp. He is mysteriously listed on the roster as OL. -

My eyes are going bad. That was Ivey, and not Moton, that Reddick smoked, right? -

Well, I guess you can take Monteiro off the list vying for RT too, lol. -
I have to assume that he was brought in thinking that he could compete for backup center and looked abysmal. Either that or some kind of discipline / intelligence issue that only the coaches know about.

He just mad about that room full of #12 jerseys he had to buy up.

Yep, Bayless is your usual TC hero at the moment. If we carry 6 WRs on the roster that 6th guy has to be a STs ace. Moore, Anderson, Marshall, Moore, Smith, are locks IMO, in that order. The likes of Bayless and Zylstra might get bumped by Cannon at this point. He's been lighting it up in camp. WR, RB, returns, and gunner.

Shockey was on his last leg by the time he got here, and he was still pretty darn good. I still would take prime Olsen over prime Shockey, but barely.

No matter, their starting QB is a fullback.

I'd pay big money to sack Tom.

Pride be damned! Imagine the life long crap you'd get from your buddies if you DROPPED the pass. I might have to ask Delhomme for a hand off.

Hell, we burned a 6th on a long snapper, why the heck not?

That would also open up THE POSSIBILITY of moving Chinn back to LB if needed due to injury. 2 birds, 1 stone. -

Honestly, I could see us move on from Little with what we got. I see Erving and Scott ahead of him at LT, and probably Daley as well. Moton and Christensen at RT. Do we need 6 tackles on the active roster?? I think not. -
I've watched a bunch of videos on him, and the part that excites me the most is how damaging he is blocking downfield, often waaaay downfield. Our YAC is going to blow up!
-
I haven't watched any highlights on Smith blocking, but I did remember the Panthers news blurb on him mentioning his ability at FB. I think he has a good shot at making the team (based on his 2017, 2018 play in Dallas) at the expense of some of the guys we've had hanging onto our roster for a while, sorry Reggie. My guess, right now, would be CMC, Hubbard, Cannon, and Rod Smith. Obviously, I see Tremble lining up as H-back a ton as well. "He (Smith) offers some flexibility since they had just one fullback on the roster, and he's also a contributor on special teams."

Yes, they are no longer on the menu. Replaced by the New Bo's Chicken Sandwich. -

new sandwich has pickles and mayo, and, I believe, no spice. It was my wife's sammy, I just snagged a bite. they're trying to copy chick-fil-a. They still have the cajun filet biscuit though, so it's all good. -

The new Bo sandwich is a miss though. They should have left the cajun filet on the menu.
