  1. I wonder if that is why we had Colin Thompson in there as h-back on that TD last week? As bad as he whiffed, I guess Ricci was the next guy to try out and Thompson is keeping his fingers crossed that there is a PS spot for him.
  2. I still think we see Darnold for at least a quarter, if not the whole half. BTW, Haskins ain't half bad.
  3. Kinda like our pick at #70, who's also been called a bust on this very site.
  4. "I tried to tell you that this little white boy was the truth", lol. My favorite part was that CMC comes up to him after practice all starstruck.
  5. Not sure how you're defining elite, but according to the list on page 10, he's the 18th highest paid receiver. Taking into account how many teams have their WR1 on a rookie contract (like us), and it seems like a fair deal to me. He is definitely making WR1 money though.
  6. I wouldn't want DJ playing a bunch of snaps this week either since he's dinged up a little bit. Let Andersen, (the other) Moore, and the rookies carry the bulk of the load.
  7. Agreed. Let Hubbard run with the 1's, since I really hope the plan is to use him to spell CMC once in a while instead of using him strictly as backup. 2nd half, there's still no clear frontrunner for RB3. That's turning out to be a battle. What's going on with Bonnafon? I assume he's hurt, but not sure what happened.
  8. At least we're triple teaming #95. That bastard aint going anywhere!
  9. Part of what is tampering my expectations with Darnold is that I bought in full throttle with Teddy, NOT for 10 games though, lol. that gig was up after a few. At least teddy had been a good backup for NO the year before, just not a starter quality guy anymore. Since I am an eternal optimist though, I have to believe that Darnold has all the tools to be a quality starter in the NFL (I didn't say MVP), and we just need to help him play up to that potential. But I've been hurt before.
  10. I agree, good post, but I'll make it even more simple. A lot of us are just tired of losing. Let Rhule win 9-10 games this season, and all will be forgiven. BTW, I like Rhule so far. We're definitely a team on the rise.
  11. Kicking, LB depth, and Shaq's contract are all still viable options.
  12. Just to be safe, we should have @KB_fan check their math!
  13. All part of the plan to coddle Darnold. Rhule loosened Lawson’s achilles and kneecapped Davis before the game. If your starter doesn't play, it's less likely that he gets injured. Rhule is all about the analytics!
  14. We haven't seen him on the field much, and he DID play a little handsy early in camp, so I will allow that he could not be excited about Horn. And besides, he says that he's "really not that disappointed." Let's wait until he gets that first pick against the Jets, and then Steves89 can get as excited as he pleases! Jaycee Horn - Frankly the pick I am most disappointed by, and I am really not that disappointed. He is in all likelihood an above-average starter from day one and has a chance to be a perennial pro-bowler. Swipe right on this dude.
  15. hahahahahahahahahaha! thanks for the PSA, it's needed. I fully admit that 90% of my contributions are smartass comments and funny gifs.
  16. Luvu has been making plays. Looks to be solid depth. Not sure about how his speed holds up in coverage, but he plays fast downhill. I'm not arguing, just didn't want to forget someone who's having a great preseason.
  17. You gotta believe that in a real game that would have been Tremble (since we cut all the FB's). I thing this was Rhule trying to decide If Thompson makes the team or not. If that's his best blocking...I'm leaning towards NOT.
  18. They could have just asked Elflien, he was turned around watching the entire thing!
  19. He's the best back up in the league.
