  1. Or Cotchery on that 2015 SB team. Get open, catch the ball, move the chains, repeat. Nothing fancy, just a smart, reliable guy who does his job. I love this guy.
  2. He better be Shaq's friend, Shaq's paying his salary!!
  3. Must would argue that getting Sam and Pat off the team is actually additions.
  4. Burrows is a really good QB, but there's a lot of talent for him to choose from. Hayden will get a lot more touches in Carolina. It's nice to be the top dog.
  5. I sure would love to get next years first rounder back, but that would be a huge ask. They currently have: Round 1, Pick 2 overall Round 1, Pick 12 overall (from CLE) Round 2, Pick 33 overall Round 3, Pick 65 overall Round 3, Pick 73 overall (from CLE) Round 4, Pick 104 overall Plus 4 6ths and 2 7ths. Honestly, I'd take # 33 or both 3rd rounders this year. we need to let our new staff lock down as much talent as they can right off the bat, Obviously, if the coaches feel that 1 QB is significantly better than the other, fuggit! pick their guy and don't look back!
  6. IF we get Carr, I hope that we don't go after a QB at #9. We have too many holes to have the top FA QB, one of the top draft QB's and a drafted QB from last year that never played a snap of meaningful football. Way too many resources tied up ay 1 position even if it is the most important position.
  7. Hell CBS had Richardson going #1 overall in yesterday's mock.
  8. Agree. It's easy to say that no amount of financial reward is worth chronic pain AFTER you've cashed $54M in checks. He knew the risks (we all do) and rolled the dice that he'd make it through his career OK. I hate it for him and anyone else that deals with chronic pain / brain injuries (we all know that's a risk too) at such a young age, but him saying that he didn't foresee the possibility is just not true.
  9. He was my annual TE draft crush a few years back. We ended up having to settle for Thomas.
  10. We now know who bought it.
  11. 3 steps back is Elflein's preferred blocking scheme.
  12. That was such a bad deal that I'm still mad at Ryan by association, and he was a frikin stud!
  13. I hear ya, BUT... If we went all in on Darnold (again) I would always be waiting for him to screw up. Like he has season after season. He is not consistent enough to be a full time starter. Now, signing him as a backup, on a team friendly deal, is something I could get behind.
  14. Roll with Corral and draft the best pass rusher available at #9.
