Panthers invite XFL player to mini camp
shaqattaq replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
In 4 years bouncing around the NFL and XFL with professional trainers, these shouldn't still be issues. Let's see what he's got. -
And if he doesn't (O-line), he admits it.
-
I actually sat down and watched the whole thing today and loved every minute of it. These 3 work well together, I hope they make it a more regular thing. All 3 spoke intelligently while keeping it light and entertaining. 2 thumbs up.

Nothing that hasn't already been said. In a nutshell, Jake thinks that the small frame isn't as big a deal as it's been made out to be because Young can straight up play football. Also, he's basically a football savant. Bet big on a horse names Skinner this weekend.

Hell no to Kelvin Benjamin, one season over 1000 yards. From a talent perspective he was slow as fug, he was a glorified TE. He was inefficient only reason he even got 1000 yards his first season is because he had 145 targets! I know that you know a lot more about football than I do @Verge, but I gotta agree with @shaq here. I can't get behind any list that has KB on it and not Smitty.

Exactly! And his defense, no one was expecting him to get called until the next day, LOL

Monday Musings/Post-Draft Thoughts: FA Market, OLB, & TE
shaqattaq replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I keep trying to forget, but still have nightmares. -
I think Shi is PS bound, and I doubt he gets poached by another team.

I have mentioned Erving a couple of times as solid OL depth, but I think with the signing of Zavala that ship might have sailed. BC and Mays both have a lot of college experience at T if our starters go down. I'm not sure what is going on with Ioannidis. As someone pointed out, his best years were as a 3-4 DE. Must be money.

My thoughts exactly, but I knew someone had to have beaten me to it. Well played sir!

He might be a lot more than death. It would be nice to see him next to icky again. BC could take Corbett's spot until he returns or become full-time backup at all four positions other than C. Obviously, all that can get sorted out during camp. I'm not sure about McCray and Mays is still too much of an unknown. Nice to have options.

As I see it, our biggest needs are still CB, and OL. I would love to land one of the following: CB: Ringo or Rush. Both are big, fast guys and excellent value at this point of the draft. OL: Zavala, Emil Ekiyor Jr., or Braeden Daniels Bonus: Roschon Johnson. Big, punishing RB that loves to block and doesn't fumble. Yes please.

DAY 2: Best of the Rest Big Board by Positions of Interest
shaqattaq replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I Assume that he is the 1st off the board today, but I could see them doubling down on O-line and getting Tippman at Center. Not a sexy pick, they have a young, mediocre QB to protect, and a talented C will be his new best friend. -

Same, except my "guy" is Porter. SOOO much talent on the board.
