  1. Would be real nice if that week 9 was a by since it's a short week with the Bears and we have a lot of away games following that. Also, I would assume that week 15 would be a home game against ATL. NFL likes to stack division matchups in December.
  2. A standard 98.6 after I've been drinking beer in it for 3 quarters. All while wearing this:
  3. Bountygate is my main reason for the hate! Just as I will always hate the pats for cheating us out of a superbowl.
  4. I was going to say the Taints, but you convinced me! Fug the Falcons!!!
  5. No shame. I also skipped right over the link in the first post to the pretty tweet in the 2nd post. I like shiny things. Going back to read it now, lol.
  6. I was laughing at this until I googled it. His wingspan is 6', 4 1/4", which is longer that 25 starting QB's in the nfl. Only Allen, Lawrence, Tannehill, Herbert, Jones, Goff, and Love are 6' 4" or taller. FWIW, Richardson is 6'4", and I suspect that he starts over Minchew before the season is over, but as of right now, only 7 taller. Edit: I know you were being funny, but my brain went down the rabbit hole, so I decided to share.
  7. This was a better IMO as well. This guy (Skinner) sounds like he knows a lot about o-line play. Something I went noticed in both videos is that Christiansen is a damned solid LG. I know some on here aren't that high on him (maybe because of those 11 penalties), but on these snaps, he played lights out!
  8. I liked Bradberry better than Jackson. He wasn't flashy, but he was very solid.
  9. At this point, he's most likely 3rd string. I think BC is 2nd LT, BC and Zavala fight for LG, Mays is 2nd C, Mays and McCray fight for RG until Corbett is ready, and BC is also 2nd RT. Still a chance he plays, but anytime your 3rd stringer is starting you're already in trouble.
  10. I've been waiting for this signing for a while. I'm assuming it's near vet minimum and he was just waiting to see if he could do better after the draft. Solid depth guy that has played LT, LG and even center. Inhuries have fugged this guy's career, but hopefully he's not on the field more than a few snaps.
  11. In the perfect world, our top 3 receivers for 2024 will be TMJ, Mingo, and Shi, and Theilen will be a role player/unofficial position coach with a huge paycheck, AND I"M OK WITH THAT. Let's face it though, the odds of all 3 of them hitting are not very good. We did the same thing bringing in Shockey as a safety net Cam's rookie year, and that worked out pretty well for him.
  12. FWIW, He has a SC flag hanging behind him on his dorm room wall. I've only made it through FA, not watched the draft section yet,I have a zoom mtg. But he's focusing on the money aspect too much for my taste. For example, he doesn't like the Thielen signing because it's basically 2 years $19M and he thinks it's too costly. This is probably my favorite signing because having a proven veteran safety net for your rookie QB is worth a LOT.
  13. I was reading it as Arians decided to go after Baker, THIS YEAR, instead of any of the top 4 QB's in the draft. That's ultimately the decision he made, even though the jump from 19 to 1 was probably never a real option. His arguments were the same ones we had a year ago, and a year before that with Sam. Mayfield did have a couple of good seasons with the Browns, and I was excited when we picked him up. Mainly because Sam had never been good. Rhule obviously did him no favors, which Baker proved by being decent once he was traded. Honestly, if baker were in any other division, I'd wish him the best of luck but I also doubt he'll ever be anything other than bottom rung starter or better than average backup. full disclosure: I only read the quote that the OP posted, not an entire article.
  14. Been there done that got the scars to prove it. Edit: emotional scars that is
  15. I call bullshit! If that was the truth, why only a one-year contract?
  16. Damn you Jake! You just lost me my entire 401K!
  17. Don't worry, Friday afternoon is apparently our "magic hour" for free agents.
  18. He definitely has potential out the wazoo. We just need him to reach that potential in the game when it counts. I absolutely think he can, but if we're all being honest, he hasn't done it yet. Hopefully, this will be his breakout year.
  19. His 2022 stats are certainly better than his 2021 stats, and I think his play improved under Wilks, but yeah, he didn't really set the world on fire. I think Mingo (same height, similar catch radius & combine/pro day #'s, 20 lbs. heavier) will push him for playing time from day 1 of OTA's. This competition and BC vs. Zavala vs. Mays will be fun to watch in preseason.
  20. They only released these two because they're shopping YGM and Hubbard.
