He hasn't thrived, but you have to admit he's been handed the poo-end of the stick when it comes to personnel. Especially this season.

A whole lot of rookie contributions today! Sanders had a TD. Legette and Coker has come good catches, and it looked like Wallace forced the fumble in OT for the win.

Stop Being Insane(remaining season primer)

Even though I don't want to rush him back in (because this is a getting over past fuggups year), I'm anxious to see what Brooks can do behind this line. I'm a Hubbard fan, but he's a UFA next year and will want to cash in. Overpaying him will be yet another fuggup to get over! -
Agree. I do think that Johnson is a proven WR though.
-
Tremble, on the other hand, seems to be coming in to his own! A couple of good catches and some fierce down field blocking!
-
Yeah, those were both supporting blockers that fuged those up. That seemed pretty obvious I think Sanders screwed up in both cases. You got to remember that he's a rookie who was consider a pass catcher in college (IIRC).
-
I saw that too. He and Sanders (TE) both let a guy in untouched. I have no idea who was supposed to get him. Still a damned solid performance over all.

No doubt that the man is a beast! -
Will the national media admit they were wrong?

Hell, I admit it. I have given Young every break that I could. He WAS in a bad situation last year. This year, he has created a bag situation for us. -
If for some weird reason he hits waivers, I hope we snatch his ass up. We could use a bully running back!

Panthers Greatest 1-year Wonders List

yep, A big part of the reason Cam was able to win ROY and Greg Olsen became the superstar that he did. -
There are those players every year on every team. For example, I LOVED Brady Christensen at LT because while I was scouting Zach Wilson, BC looked like a frikkin stud. No one was happier than me when we drafted him. Don't get me wrong, I still think he can contribute backing both guard and tackle pots, but in my mind he was the franchise LT we'd been missing for years, and the steal of the draft. The NFL is a totally different beast than college ball.

Bryce, Ickey, others looking good against jets. Video

Bryce's big selling point was his intelligence. I just hope that he's smart enough to overcome his obvious physical detriments (ala Drew Brees). We all know that the coaching staff did him no favors last year, so I'm trying my best to keep an open mind. Cautiously optimistic... -
I'll be watching 12 - 14 beers disappear from the fridge if Debby let's my antenna pick up the game.

I think these are the only 4 locks, everyone else is competing for 2-3 roster spots. ISM, Thompkins, or a pre-season cut makes it as PR/KR.
-
If I were ISM, I'd be sweating. I like the guy, but anytime a new coach brings in his old player that has the exact same role as you... it ain't good.
-
I am going completely opposite and say that Hubbard hits the ground running (pun intended) and never looks back. He establishes himself as a true starter, and by mid-season we have the re-emergence of Smash and Dash!

Call me crazy, but we might have improved the pass rush after all

I agree, but he has been a solid starter for a decade, pulling in his best sack numbers (tied at 9.5) last year at 30 yo. Hopefully Evero can squeeze every last drop of gas he has in the tank and just maybe our developmental players will pick up some knowledge.
