  1. I think that is fair, very few QBs have those three's kind of arm talent, but I don't think that is the end all be all. Jay Cutler had the cannon of cannon and had a mediocre career, while Matt Ryan won and MVP and almost a super bowl with neither. I am not trying to endorse him, but I do have hope for him and think he can plan out to something. If he doesn't, that is fine. If we are in a position next year to take a top 2 QB off the board then we will regardless I think.
  2. I didn't read it that way, I think he is setting expectations that Corral is unlikely to start day 1, and Rodgers and Brady are the long term examples of greatness, so it's what came to his mind. There is so much negativity against Rhule that everyone is looking for something to criticize even when it's not there.
  3. I would say Neal was the considered the best all around, but it was ikem's athleticism and potential that made him OT1
  4. I mean, Corral is listed a great athlete with a very good arm and elite release almost everywhere... I'm definitely not saying that Corral is Burrow, but come on, you are underselling his physical traits.
  5. I wouldn't call Joe burrow an elite athlete, and he whooped Mahomes ass twice last year.
  6. I think he is taller than Howell.
  7. Who cares, everyone and their momma knows he was traded up for to be the "future." And if he doesn't pan out there will be a new "future" soon. With all due respect, Sam and his agent know it's over. Our interest in other options has not been a secret.
  8. I would say around week 5-7, maybe after a buy week if it's mid year.
  9. You may be thinking Willis, Matt was always around the 6'2 ish area, just skinny
  10. Kingsley Enehbari Dorian Kinnard Zamir White Matt Ariaza can kick a mile.
  11. Really? Rhule looked pretty stoked to me, I think this has been a good draft considering what we have.
  12. There are worse QBs that have been drafted earlier than these, still surprising.
  13. Would choose Malik over Corral, kind of weary of high injury guys, and corral likes to be physical for some reason. Obviously it comes down to who is available though.
  14. There is a gigantic mental advantage though.
  15. This is a bit harsh, but I agree. I think Matt has had a tough transition into the NFL, COVID shortened off season, bad luck (and evulation) of QB talent, but I do appreciate that he is willing to swing and miss. I admit that I wanted and thought Sam could be a long term answer, so did a lot of evaluators, sometime you get it wrong. But patience can be a good thing, so I do appreciate some what that he gets a chance to grow.
  16. Getting humbled might be exactly what he needed. I think the demeanor will change if it leads to success, not ready to claim he is dead in the water yet, but it's clear he is deferring to the NFL guys right now.
  17. If somehow Howell or Willis are available mid second or top of third, do it.
  18. I think we trade back to 10 with the Jets, who take the top receiver on the board. 1-10: Cross Trade up with Bengals/ Chiefs: 1-30/31: Sam Howell/ Kenny Pickett
  19. Garret Wilson to the Panthers would be the shock of the first round. No one anywhere has that as a possibility.
  20. I hope we would, I'm a bit weary of " still needs to develop pass protection" scouting reports.
  21. I think they would watch the board, and if one of the top 5 falls to mid/end of the second round they'll try to get there. Not with a first, but I wouldn't say next year's 2nd or 3rd are off the table.
  22. Exactly, no one wants to see this. Chance your QB whether at 6 or 16, it literally does not matter if they hit.
