I thought he looked good, I think either Pickett or Willis would be a solid choice. Embrace the QB people, after all we can always get a top OL next year too.

"Shoot, with these hands we could have tugged Deshaun away from Cleveland."
-
How about Baker to the Falcons?????
-
Funny enough, Sam Darnold had a horrible pro day.
-
These are just lazy comparisons from folks that don't want to like Pickett.
-
It's only acceptable if it comes from the falcons or saints.
-
I mean he is not even comparable to Mac Jones, he is a better athlete by a mile, has a bigger arm, can move very well. Where is this comparison coming from??
-
I like Pickett, and he has something like 9.57 RAS score, so these people that don't believe he is athletic have no ground to stand on. He could be good.

Kenny Pickett > Malik Willis (at least for us)
Jaxel replied to janderson20vt's topic in Carolina Panthers
To be fair, in 2020 he beat Va Tech and Coastal, and lost to NC State by a point. Personally I want Pickett, but I won't be angry with Willis. As long as we get that LT to go with this transformed line, I'm all in swinging for the fence. -
Being right once out of 10 does not give me confidence.

One thing I've learned is that if the huddle hates a rookie QB, they will probably be good, so I'm all for drafting a QB.
-
I've made it not secret I'd be all in on Pickett at 6, but would be happy with Malik. Swing until you hit, I say.

David Newton's "cryptic" comment got me to thinkin

I mean, only in sense that they have made terrible QB moves. Everything else has practically cleared cap for big spending going into years 3 and 4. Those are here now, and besides the QB they are in good position to start winning. So if they finally hit this year I think we will see more success. -

All this Matt Ryan hate is hilarious.. I hate to break it to you, but over the course of his career, he has been a better QB than anyone we have ever had here. Matt Ryan has a career 95 passer rating. He has thrown for 60,000 pass yards and has more than twice as many touchdowns than interceptions for his career. In fact he has never thrown more int than TDs in a season. I get it, we are Panther fans, we hate Matt Ryan, but man I would be thrilled if we got a QB that has his success. -
Guess the guaranteed money wasn't a lie lol.
-
That's fair, and if he does then buckle up, it's gonna be a long 7 year rebuild.
-
Now this I agree with. This has been a mess top to bottom since we got new ownership. Really they have played this thing look rookies, but hopefully this Watson failure has slapped them enough to start taking things seriously.
-
I don't think it mattered which coach got hired, Grier was never going to start for this team.
-
Even before Matt Rhule, it was article after article that David Tepper didn't believe Cam was it and was likely not to extend him. This was a Tepper mistake, not a Rhule mistake.
-
If we are talking about last year, things were looking very very positive for Matt Rhule and the direction of the team. Things really started to sour after the matt Stafford whiff and what followed that.
-
I mean, they might have planned to release him anyway.
-
I agree, I was referencing the post of that guy that would do that.
