  1. People keep mentioning his contract, it's a huge value to other teams, he basically has no gaurentees pass this yearm
  2. I think it's the opposite, I think the bills have probably offered a one, but we think we can get more. Just imo though.
  3. Again, year over year it gets said "x is not a desirable job, no one will take it," and year over year said team gets their top 1 or 2 choice. I'm not worried in the least, we will get a good set of coaches to choose from, we just can't screw it up.
  4. Looking forward to today's matchups, a lot to look at with the top prospects. Hooker and Young bs each other. Levis hopefully back. Always love watching Ward. Duggan has shown out this year and more. Let's goooo.
  5. This is fair, maybe I am a bit harsh on some, I just feel like if you are consistently a middle of the road team in any conference for long periods of time, you are mid tier. Obviously it doesn't apply to every one, as many teams will go through up and down periods, but for the most parts there are teams you can count as that. South Carolina for example, to me qualifies as a mid tier college even though they consistently produce great NFL cornerbacks.
  6. I mean that's 4 out of the 5 best QBs in the NFL. And I wouldn't call any of those colleges except maybe Oregon a top-tier school. Again, listing all the starters here: Lamar - Louisville Allen - Wyoming Rodgers/Goff - Cal Herbert - Oregon Mahomes - Texas Tech Baker/Murray - Oklahoma Wilson - NC State/Wisconson Mills - Stanford Ryan - Boston College Carr - Fresno st. Tua/Mac/Hurts - Alabama Wilson - BYU Picket - Pitt Tannehill - A&M Mariotta - Oregon Prescott - Miss St Jones - Duke Geno - WVU Garrapolo - East Illinios or something like that Brady - Michigan Wentz/Lance - NDU Cousins - Mich St. Winston - FSU Dalton - TCU Burrow - LSU Bolded are what I would consider a mid-tier program. I'm sure I'm missing some, but I would say the top 4 or 5 come from that mid-tier group imo. But it's just my opinion - not here to fight about it. On the whole I think college football is a mostly boring product until you get to those upper echelon teams facing each other.
  7. Mid-Level, Mid-Tier, Average, Middle of the Pack, majority 3-star, good every 10 years, never won a conference championship, somewhat competitive. Call it whatever you want, but they are the ones that consistently produce the bests QBs. And when they are good, it's because of those said top-tier QBs.
  8. If there is a draft to be needing a QB regardless of where you draft, this is it. Good options at the top and the bottom of the first/second rounds.
  9. As the old but so true saying goes, it is what it is. It's time now though, to take the risk and jump all in.
  10. I agree here - Again, I would be thrilled if Wilks pulls us to something like 7-10 or 8-9. And I would still do whatever it takes to get a QB in the draft.
  11. By mid-level I mean teams not competing for top bowl games year after year. Lets go through your list. Mahomes - Texas Tech - Midlevel Rodgers/Goff - California - when was the last time they were good? Burrow - LSU Jackson - Lousville - aka doens't compete for championships Wilson - NC State/Wisconson - rarely competetivie in their conference Wilson - BYU enough said Cousings - Michigan State - see Wisconson Hurts/Tua - Alabama Tannehill - A&M Smith - WVU Murray - Oklahoma Allen - Wyoming Carr - fresno Herbert - Oregon More than half of these QBs are on teams that rarely compete for their conference championships, and the 4/5 best ones on this list, their colleges are awful.
  12. I think Stroud is a better pocket QB than fields and does a great job with touch. Just a comment. I wonder what it would look like if you add Haskins stats too. I think it's why Ohio State QBs are so hard to evaluate. With that said I like Stroud a lot, but i have said a million times I think the most successful QBs come from mid level colleges cause everything is harder for them. So I'm big on Ward, Levis and Hooker (minus his age, but Burrow was old too so....)
  13. I think it's funny that their stats are near identical minus the amount of actually air yards.
  14. To be clear, I don't think we should tank for that guy, but what I do think is we do whatever it takes to get him. Remember, the Chiefs traded up for Mahomes, the ravens traded up to get Jackson, the Bills traded up to get Allen. If your guy is there, go get him.
  15. There was no Andrew Luck or Cam Newton in the classes that Allen, Mahomes and Jackson were drafted either, yet those guys run the league. You have to shoot your shot.
  16. I don't care if we are top 1 or top 21, we better choose a QB. If Wilks or any coach that gets hired this year wants to succeed they know that winning at that position is the top priority. Stroud, Young, Levi's, Ward, Hooker, Richardson... I garuantee one of them will be on this roster next year.
  17. The same applies if PJ jimmy clausen's us into our next legendary franchise QB.
  18. Sounds like a big point of failure was a lack of trust between everybody. Scary thing for a new coach, they better get the QB right, right away.
  19. If Quinn is Fitterers top guy, the we should go ahead in fire him right now. Because this scenario says we have no vision of what we would ideally like the future to look like.
