I don't disagree with you.. It's why I mentioned , who is playing on the other end of the defensive line determines how many double teams the Great Pass Rusher gets. There's a lot more than sacks .. but it seems to be the big stat we constantly hear. How many teams design plays away from the defensive end,, etc. But someone in management of these teams finds sacks very important.

I realize how important sacks are. Sometimes if you have a great defensive on one side, and a good one on the other end ,, then the great one could get home more because of less double teams.. Then think of this, 17 games, and lets use a arbitrary number of 25 ,, the QBs throw 25 times a game. You say that time the 17 game and that's 425 times your GREAT pass rusher has a shot at the QB . If he gets 12 sacks a year ,, that means he gets home 0.028 % of the time. Or once every 35 times the QB drops back. Crazy money for salaries based on "sacks" . Gawd I hope my numbers are right lol..

I do not think R Leonard is as good as D Mayes.. but he is ranked/ rated as one of the top QB's in the country. Just think if Sam Hartman was still at Wake Forest.. It would be a possibility of 3 ACC QB's drafted in the first round ..

I agree. D J Uiagalelei and the current QB Cabe Klubnik. They aren't Watson, Lawrence , Tajh Boyd. Wide receivers haven't looked of NFL quality . I think the there defense will come around, but that offense has a lot of work unless they wear Will Shipley out. ( 45 touches. )

How good will Notre Dame be ? I know they can’t play for the ACC championship. Duke won’t fair well due to their ACC schedule. They play Notre Dame, Florida State, UNC, NC State, Louisville ( and Clempson) . They will win some , but not all.

I realize most of us say Clempson lost the game.. no credit to the other team for blocking a field goal attempt,, or putting a helmet on the ball causing a fumble ( if Clempson had done that we’d hear about a great hit on their opponents) . The other team showed up

Duke returns 18 starters from a 9-4 team. They , once again will be better than most give them credit for. Clempson may be great again, and Duke just better than most think. Clempson has not run over them on offense or defense. A lot of football left for Clempson to shine ( or Duke )

UNC’s defense ( 1st half ) is better than last years . SC is isn’t an awful team.
