Cowboys at Bucs - NFL opener GameDay thread
OceanPanther replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
As a fan.. we can't lose, but it's really hard to root for the cowboys. I mean,, We dislike the cowboys more than a divisional rival. ( because the bucs suck so often lol ) -

Talk to me about the Jets. What do you know?
OceanPanther replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is one of the years,, we really don't know what to expect from either team.. Oh, we think we have more talent, better coaching etc, but let's see it on the field Sunday. -
Deshaun Watson trade now as unlikely as ever...
OceanPanther replied to SizzleBuzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's unlikely ... UNTIL some talking head says " The Panthers and Dolphins are likely landing spots for Deshaun Watson " Then a Huddler will start another thread- 91 replies

Waiver wire and free agent folly. Who we getting?
OceanPanther replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
That’s kinda what I was thinking, about Pittsburgh’s seconds, vs the Jets number ones -
So you’re saying,, he made a 44 yard field goal AND an extra point ??? No way we can afford kicking talent like that sarcasim

I just don't recall seeing the term "The Turk " mentioned. Such a great part of football lore. If others have mentioned it, I just missed reading it. #grimreaper https://www.profootballhof.com/news/coach-wants-to-see-you-and-bring-your-playbook/

If we were to pick him up,,, just remember, that our GM/ Coaching Staff would think he is better that what we have.

So... Sam Darnold. Are you encouraged or discouraged

I guess I live close enough to S C ( Wilmington ) that we call them Low Country Boils , if it’s shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, potatoes, and a bucket of Old Bay . I do not cook potatoes and sausage in a shrimparoo. we’re really splitting hairs though,, I’ll come to what ever you call it and will live an ice cold beer with any of it

Omg , yes . My Saint Pauli Girl Beer . ” You never forget your first girl,, Saint Pauli Girl Beer”

My difference is no sausage. Just shrimp and corn on the cob I call it a shrimparoo. More of a winter time experience is to add the sausage and we call it a Low country boil or Frogmore stew. I know that’s splitting hairs lol. We have the low country boil when steaming oysters( oyster roast ) for those who don’t partake in the oysters. Oysters are definitely the filet minion of seafood now $80 a bushel last season.

Shrimparoo. I know , I know, no Panther burgers, but I’m looking to change things up for this stellar offense .

NFL WARS, PRESEASON GAME 3 March To The Super Bowl PANTHERS 21 steelers 10 -
I probably don’t understand these things, but isn’t it for just 2 years ? My thinking is, if Marshall and Sly are good, not injury prone etc . so after 2 years DJ Moore will have his contact and the others still on a rookie contract.( if they are as good as we hope ) . And Robby might have to move on..

Was Luke Kuechly in the stands at the game?
OceanPanther replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have a face recognize app. But it's a side view and my archive only has pics of LUUUUUKE with a helmet on .. inconclusive scan -
His "honeymoon" period with me is about his coaching THIS YEAR.. We know the players on the field are probably not Super Bowl players this year. He doesn't get a pass for inept coaching though. I'm looking to see if he's learned Game Management and Strategy of the NFL . Did he hire the correct coordinators ?? I still have questions about Joe Brady. I didn't like his play calling in the red zone. I don't care if Robby, DJ , Marshall , CMC all get 1000 yrds if we can't score. I hope Coach Rhule is spot on..

As many said before pre season started. There will be accurate reactions, but a lot more OVER REACTIONS to pre season football. The Bucs and Seahawks both scored 3 points in their games. No, that doesn't mean that we are currently is the same tier group with those two teams. The coaches have to see the 30 plus players that will be cut , to see if any of them are salvageable . We may be as bad as some of you are suggesting. Darnold may be the worst NFL QB this season and many are,, I'll say it, as some of you are hoping. Teddy went 9/11 ,105 yards ,, 1 TD in a pre season game. Anyone really want him back ? I mean he did real well in a pre season game. So use the same narratives in judging the Panthers pre season players as you do others. You don't want Teddy back, and are saying , " it was preseason against their seconds or thirds " . We won't really know anything till Sept 12 th if this is all coming together.

Neither of these two are NFL caliber ( back up ) quarterbacks. They just aren't.

We'll meet our new players after the 3rd pre season game. Also that'll give the new kicker ( fingers crossed) and other possible starters over 2 weeks before the opening game Sept 12. No, not the way I'd draw it up.. I'd have our 53 plus players in our own camp now... but they'll be coming soon and have a couple of weeks to get acclimated to our system. GO PANTHERS
