I don't think anyone hates CMC , we all still love him.. but until he can stay on the field , it's a "what have you done for me lately " world. And CNC isn't a game changer in a positive way sitting on the bench injured for most of the past two seasons. Hoping he can play 17 games next season. I wonder what the over /under bet is on that ?

The common denominator is the Quarterback. It's true with all good teams. I know we need to have a real offensive line.. but if Darnald is behind a real O line, we won't prosper. We have to have a top 10 QB to compete , and a top 5 would be great.

IMaybe playoff game overtime should be a full quarter. Youtube the 1971 Christmas Day playoff game , KC vs Miami . It was like 2 extra quarters plus minutes in a 3rd quarter. There are so few QB's in the league, like we saw over the weekend. 6 of them are franchise QB's. Green Bay Tampa Bay Buffalo Kansas City Cincinnati L A S F and Tenn QB's are good, but not next level. THEY ARE SO FEW,, That when one of them becomes available via the draft or trade, you have to try to get him, then build the missing parts ( O LINE , etc ) . No, you don't go after a Tannyhill and not work on the O line first, But a franchise QB , they are rare, and you have to have one.

Most of the teams playing this weekend weren’t immediately a championship team once their QB was drafted or traded for. But without a QB you won’t play on this weekend.

I’m ok with Jimmy G coming here ( better than anyone we currently have on the roster ). But the 49er’s HAVE to take Darnald as their back up and a lot of what is owed to him . 24 million is not HOF QB money. I think over 30 million is the going rate for those not named Tom Brady. No , I wouldn’t take Jimmy G for our 6th round pick unless Darnold was part of the deal. Let’s face it , there’s not a QB coming out this year worth a 6 th pick. Yes, O’line is a priority, and where we should focus .

No,, there are a few franchises that have been sitting in purgatory longer than us. What we learn is that when a team like the Cardinals , KC , Buffalo etc, make jumps to winning,, it comes with a GOOD Quarterback and coach. ( I hear, that Offensive line is important too. ) We have neither.
