Read that Carson Strong’s knee is looking good. If so he will sky rocket after the senior bowl.
-
Here is one for some laughter:
-
Caldwell is a bit boring from a personality standpoint, but he worked miracles with Detroit and before that was the OC for two Super Bowl winners (unless I remember it wrong). These numbers are pretty impressive:
-
It happens every year, so I wouldn’t be surprised.
-
I agree with everything you said. I would also like to see him being used more like Debo Samuel. I don’t think this coaching staff does him any favors whatsoever. He’s also got speed and is very strong with contested catches, but they seem to never send him deep. I’d resign him in a heartbeat.
-
Evan Neal would make for a successful draft imo. If we get a great LT, the rest is gravy. I have a feeling he might be the 2nd or 3rd OT when the draft comes around. Makes no sense but it happens every year. Just a gut feel.

I got really excited for a quick minute when Brown came in to play. Then Erving came back in the next series. What a letdown (glad Erving was ok, but keep Brown in for the love of god).
-
I agree about the QB comment. I’m sure at least 1-2 QBs will “emerge” as franchise QBs. I wouldn’t be surprised if a healthy Strong is one of them.
-
It is obviously very early and it depends who is there. But I was curious to where everyone is at? At this time I’m more leaning towards staying put and get a stud LT instead of trading back and take a good one.
-
That’s my thinking. If Corral is there, can we afford to not take him? I’d love a LT, but he might be too good to pass up.
-
So is any of the above names better than Corral? I don’t know so it is a genuine question. I’ve seen some of Rattler and Uigalelei and it wasn’t pretty. Rattler was benched. I do love the idea of going for a stud LT and keep Cam for another year, but if Corral is there isn’t he at the level of anyone on that list? And I’m not looking at a side-by-side numbers comparison as most QBs on your list play in stacked teams.
-
I thought he played really well yesterday, DT usually takes a couple of years before they settle in. So the bust takes are premature.
-
I thought it looked like he was taking notes, so I took it as a good thing.
-
But don’t you worry, Michael Jordan is also coming back

Brady Christensen to start at Guard this week
Martin replied to BlitzMonster's topic in Carolina Panthers
That’s what I was thinking as well, I appreciate the insight. I also like the idea of his athleticism at LG and pair him with an athletic LT in the draft. I’d rather put a mauling guard next to Moton. -

Looks like Brady is starting at RG, wouldn’t it make more sense to start him at LG (and I know, nothing about this makes sense). I was thinking at least keep him on the left side. For those of you who understand O-Line, wouldn’t it be easier for him to transition to LG, instead of RG, from LT, or does it not matter? -
That’s what I try to do. Would be much easier if we were playing our young guys more, that’s the missing piece for me.
-
Verge, what’s your take on Strong if his knee checks out?
-
Agreed, I’ve been hiking with the family and fly fishing. Recording the games so I can fast forward.
-
And that is what I’m missing, the refusal to play the young guys.
-
Don’t get me wrong, still support the team. But success in the last five games will only prolong Rhule’s stay, and that is not a good thing.
-
I’ve gone from the point of supporting Rhule to realizing he’s a clown. At this point we need to lose out so he gets fired. And I can’t believe I’m saying that, it goes against everything in believe in in sports. Normally I can take some late wins if they show progress for our young players, improvements in coaching etc. But in this case he needs to go. I remember the Clausen season. Watched every game, enjoyed small improvements etc, but not sure what to watch for this year. Hoping to see Cam play well and our young corners to continue to develop. But that is pretty much it. Normally I’d watch for our O-line rookies to improve, but since they are barley playing… What are you hoping to see over the next few weeks?
-
I know, new position every week. Just mind boggling. And what is up with his Daley fetish? Unbelievable.
-
Agree with you, I would also put Strong in tier 1 if his knee checks out.
-
To add to this, the whole pre-season Brady was playing RT, not guard or center… I was a big supporter of Rhule, but what a
