  1. Not sure why anyone is surprised. Cam’s only been back for a bit over a week, so the playbook is somewhat limited with him until he gets it fully down. Some mentioned earlier it will be at least 4 weeks. So this makes total sense.
  2. It has also been mentioned that Rhule was the first one to reach out to Cam. Cam said so himself that he got a call from Rhule. Not sure if it was Rhule’s idea or not, but I bet he was looking for new options at the QB spot.
  3. This is pretty impressive: Next Gen stat of the week: Christian McCaffrey had 12 rushes for 85 yards versus seven or more defenders in box (7.1 avg).
  4. Just curious. You don’t think Cam’s injury history and indirectly asking for a new contract on social media had anything to do with it? You think it was 100% one-sided and Cam did everything perfect from his side? I think it was handled poorly from both sides, but it is obviously totally fine to have a different take on it. I’m really happy to have Cam back btw, but again I think both sides had some responsibility for how it went down.
  5. This will help bring Panthers supporters back together and some excitement. I don’t have great expectations, but great stuff!
  6. I don’t have great expectations, but it feels really good and I’ll take that for now.
  7. I can see being disappointed in some of Rhule’s decisions, but I didn’t see being angry at Rhule for not drafting Mond
  8. Here are some draft profiles on his mobility. Not a runner, but doesn’t sound at all like a statue: ”Strong’s arm is his most valuable physical tool, but the Nevada QB isn’t a liability as an athlete. Strong is more of a pocket passer, but he has some underrated mobility within his archetype. He has some definite short-range spryness and escapability in the pocket, and he also flashes limited off-script ability. He can cover ground with long strides and extend plays to the sideline if necessary.” “Strong is an average athlete with regard to mobility outside of the pocket. In the run game, he isn't much of a threat to the defense as a runner. Therefore, running many of the zone-read concepts with him would be problematic. The passing game is where he thrives. He’s more of a traditional pocket passer with very good arm strength and throws with a good base. He has the mental processing to make quick decisions. Nevada’s offense provides many opportunities for him to display his downfield accuracy. He has a good internal timer and he innately feels pressure on the backside. He has a quick release and easily gets the ball out of his hands from the gun to short throws. He goes through his progressions and will check it down when necessary. One of his best assets is his ability to take care of the football. Some of his turnovers in the exposures I’ve graded were situations where his receivers let him down. ”
  9. Agreed. And that gives me long term hope with Tepper as an owner. Being able to admit to your mistakes is a huge asset.
  10. The one I’m most interested in is MJ. Is he improving and is he a potential solution at LG? Trying hard to find something positive here
  11. This is exactly what I thought as well. Agree with everything you said.
  12. Trent Williams is 33, Andrew Whiteorth is 39, etc. You can get a great LT in his early 30s. But if you are only looking for All Pro LTs in their mid 20s, then yes, you won’t find that
  13. I also think MJ has some promise at LG, a stud LT in FA could help elevate his play. Then you can attack C and RG in FA/draft. Might be wishful thinking in my part, but I like that direction.
  14. I would make him a very strong offer in free agency next offseason when he becomes a FA. Or did I not understand your question?
  15. You can’t if you get mediocre players. But if you sign someone like Armstead at tackle and a very good guard it will certainly help. If you prioritize and am willing to spend you can make a lot of progress.
  16. I agree. However I feel we need a much more experienced OC. Keeping Brady would be a huge disappointment. Hopefully he takes a college job and it takes care of itself.
  17. Draft a QB and sign an experienced QB (Nick Foles?) to compete and mentor. Sign O-line in free agency and draft in later rounds. Get a new experienced OC.
  18. Do you think their red flags were different from Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields and Mac Jones? I don’t see much of a difference to be honest. But I don’t watch much college ball so you might have seen more of them play than me. Three of them have multiple years of strong performance (Howell, Stong, Corall). Last year were a lot of one year wonders.
  19. Oh I agree with some of your points, however the excessive use of hyperbole on this site (not just you, from a lot of people) just takes away from your main points. We are completely lost offensively. I’m very impressed with our D and the coaching on that side. Special Teams seem to have come around as well. The comments about Tepper not caring that are rampant around here are also ridiculous. One minute he’s Dan Snyder, the next he is not involved enough. Not sure how you can say he doesn’t care. Based on what? Some bad decisions?
  20. Lol at “mortgaged away the future”. We took a risk and it failed. Next draft we are missing a 2 and 3 round pick. Is it good? No. But mortgaged the future? Some of you need help.
  21. The O-line hasn’t been good, but the fact that the opposing defense has nothing to fear from Darnold makes their job impossible
  22. I still don’t want Mac, what in this game makes you think you wanted him in the first round? is he better than Darnold? Yes. Is he impressive? No
  23. Obviously not in round 1. I’m assuming most of you get that, but there’s always one person...
