  1. I’m really happy we won, but also very underwhelmed with Bryce. They are not mutually exclusive.
  2. I mean he had 126 yards vs. the worst team in the league. The one thing he didn’t do was straight up costing us the game. And yes he looks better, but he’s still very far from good. Chuba and the defense won this one.
  3. Super early, and Giants, but Wonnum is of to a very good start
  4. It’s his specialty, the unblocked sack.
  5. Oh, like Big 10 with Oregon and SEC with Texas? For shame lol
  6. Agree, Canales sees the limitations of Bryce and even if he shows some improvements, he is too limited for long term success. And this is one of the reasons I like Canales, he seems like a no nonsense guy when it comes to the players as in the player giving us the best chance to win plays.
  7. This was a breakout season for Chuba, you never know what will happen with a new coaching staff. They didn’t know at the time of the draft, so they drafted another RB high. But that shouldn’t prevent them from adapting and feeling like Chuba is worth investing in now that they’ve seen what he can do. It gives us a potentially very strong 1-2 punch. Letting old decisions dictate what you do moving forward is not a successful way to manage a team, or manage anything for that matter. The argument that “now that we know we shouldn’t have drafted Brooks” is pretty ridiculous as we didn’t know at the time
  8. This 100%. He works hard and is apparently spectacular on the white board, but it doesn’t translate to an actual game, so it doesn’t matter.
  9. Once he realized he can’t do what he did in college since everyone is bigger, stronger and faster in the NFL, his confidence was shot.
  10. He’s a young, high performing leader on the team. That’s the type of player you should invest in.
  11. I really like the idea of him and Brooks together for a couple of years. We are solidifying the offensive pieces to put around our non-Bryce future quarterback
  12. This was a really good and interesting one that included the last two QB drafts and an early look at 2025.
  13. Sorry, I was trying to be sarcastic about the value teams are getting after everyone complained so much about what we got for Dionte. It is buyers market and we are definitely not a buyer.
  14. Dan Morgan strikes again, only a 5 and 6 for a premier pass rusher. Should have gotten at least a 3rd…
  15. I think you can essentially replace Chuck Norris with Sanders in all those memes, and that is where he is at
  16. From everything I’ve read he was incredibly toxic, and everyone knew about it. So there was no chance to get anything of real value for him, but he needed to get off the team. So in the real world it makes a lot of sense. Obviously a lot of Huddlers would have gotten at least multiple high picks for him…
  17. Allar has the chance to fly up the boards with a strong finish to the season, will be very interesting to see what he can do “on the big stage”
  18. This 100%. I don’t understand why people don’t get it.
  19. I’m leaning QB, but that top 3 would be something special
  20. I really like that nothing was ever handed to him, he was a 0 star recruit out of high school and had to earn his way as a starting QB. Not a common path for a QB, and the opposite of many coddled first round QB prospects. He has everything you’re looking for in terms of physical abilities. To your point, if he finish strong in the playoffs, he will be close to a no brainer at no 1. But we will have to wait to find out.
  21. Here is Brugler on Ward “(Ward’s) 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, electric arm talent, really elusive in the pocket,” Brugler told Russini and Daniel. “He’s a very loose player, and that’s part of what makes him dangerous — but he’s also loose with his decision-making, and that directly leads to negative plays. “The best way I can sum it up is he’s a ‘fireworks’ player. He can create an explosive play on any snap, but fireworks also have that big warning label on them, right? When you’re careless with fireworks, negative results will follow. I’m encouraged by the progress that we’ve seen from Ward. He was a Wing-T quarterback in high school, (played in the) Air Raid at Incarnate Word, then Washington State. He’s still in an Air Raid offense now, but you see a little more variation. “The character reviews I’ve heard from scouts — really smart, great leader, confident kid. I don’t think he’s faced a great defense, that’s kind of the problem with the ACC this year. But this is where the 12-team playoff could come into play, because think about last year with Michael Penix Jr.. If he doesn’t have that 430-yard passing performance against Texas in the semifinals, is he still a top-10 pick? Who knows. “Consciously or subconsciously, scouts and teams, they’re gonna weight these playoff games a little bit more — that big stage. Selfishly, I want to see Miami make the playoff, just so we can see Ward on that stage.”
  22. “I think he probably goes first round,” Brugler said of Sanders, “because he’s poised, he’s tough, he’s accurate. The physical traits don’t wow you. “I’m gonna give a quarterback comparison, but I’m gonna qualify it: In terms of quarterbacking style, I think the comparison is Jordan Love, because they’re very fluid with their throwing motions, they bounce around, backpedal at times, keep the weight on the back foot, use a lot of different platforms. But Shedeur is smaller and has a B-level arm, not an A-level arm — and so that’s the key difference.”
  23. I don’t think you listened at all. He said his style is very similar to Love, but he doesn’t have the same physical attributes. You obviously disagree, but there was nothing wrong in how he delivered his opinion.
