  1. Once Rock Hill fell through my expectation was that they would rethink their plan and build a joint facility for both teams, that makes the most sense.
  2. Did you watch Williams in any of the summer league games? You constantly reference high school, college etc.
  3. Haha, I was thinking the same thing. I only watched 10 min or so, but he really impacted the other teams shooting. There were several times they were trying to shoot but had to pull back. He also looks really smooth for such a tall guy running up and down in transition. Not saying he’ll be a star, but he sure is what we were missing last year.
  4. I know it’s been posted, but that’s ok. Let’s just enjoy this one more time.
  5. I don’t know a great deal about him, but are we really concerned he didn’t get along with Kyrie Irving? Who actually do get along with Kyrie?
  6. Someone holding a woman by the neck and joking about her being alone with five guys is clearly a rape “joke”. It has nothing to do with race. It is a bullshit move. But sure, let’s change the topic and call it racism. Pathetic.
  7. Grabbing a woman by the neck and essentially joking about gang rape is a terrible thing to do. How the hell is that acceptable in your world. That alone should disqualify him for any coaching roles. And yes I’ve had too much on to many occasions when I was young, but I’ve never laid my hands on a woman like that. That’s an asshole move in my book.
  8. The point here is that the conference is not a real factor for the best LTs in the NFL.
  9. The Darnold bs will sort itself out, this is the exciting stuff: “Meanwhile, rookie Matt Corral picked up the offense nicely, coming from Lane Kiffin’s simplistic, RPO-heavy scheme at Ole Miss. He flashed competitiveness and a whip for a right arm, has had no issues through lighter install days and managed himself well through the heavier installs. Corral is lights-out after the snap but still swimming mentally a little before the snap.”
  10. Which top 10 NFL LT played for a SEC school? I think Tunsil is the only one.
  11. We can just agree to disagree on this one, but that’s ok as well. Hopefully he shocks the world and stay healthy this year to make it easier for Corral.
  12. He seem to work all out year round, trying to play through injuries etc. Not sure how you think he’s checked out?
  13. Sounds like Ayton and the Suns are not in a good place. What would it take to get him and would he be worth a max contract? I watch mostly Hornets games and haven’t seen him play this year.
  14. Are the rookies taking part in this as they are signed and just had their rookie minicamp or is there a reason they are not? I can’t remember
  15. Would be great for Melo and his development. Not sure about the D. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/mike-dantoni-in-strong-position-to-land-hornets-head-coaching-job-per-report/
  16. I would like to see another QB that is there to be a 100% mentor and backup, and not compete with Corral. A Josh McCown type. Cam would most likely be the starter if he comes in, he’s too good to just be a mentor. The reason is that I want to see Corral play, and play a lot this year so we know what we have before next years draft. I still like the idea of Foles. He’s used to that role.
  17. Love this from the Observer; “The Ben McAdoo effect It’s impossible not to notice new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo at Panthers practice. His enthralling presence has nothing to do with his new hairstyle or taller-in-person statue. Rather, the 44-year-old former Giants head coach simply commands his offense. He’s respectfully loud, effectively holding players’ attention when speaking. He wastes no time. Each drill and every play has a clearly defined purpose. It’s only Day 1 of rookie minicamp, but the Panthers offense is already marinating in his influence.” Do we have a real OC? Sure feels like it. I know it’s day one, but feels like we are getting some good pieces in place.
  18. No worries. But that is what makes it really interesting. Who will pick up the new offense quicker?
  19. Does he really know the new offense though, that’s the question.
  20. Btw, this was a response to the short term options for a training facility. The budget is already set. Doesn’t say long term projects will be discussed.
  21. I agree with this. Grier, Mond etc. just weren’t that good and was picked in the third round accordingly. Corral land Mills had talent to be taken earlier but had other potential issues that made them go later. If those issues show to be issues no longer, the potential is absolutely there. Big difference.
  22. The first preseason game will be awesome this year, new o-line and Corral. Might be the one with the highest attendance
  23. I guess I shouldn’t be, but I’m surprised by people not wanting to start Ickey at LT. After searching for a starter for many many years we finally draft one, he was in consideration for first pick overall, and then we should not start him because he played in the ACC? Holy moly people.
  24. Someone else posted this in another thread, but I’m can’t remember where. Darnold seemed to struggle picking up the playbook in his first year, they had to limit it in his first couple of starts. This is a new playbook so he only has a slight head start. What if Corral picks it up really quick? The other players will notice. Then how can you not start Corral?
  25. From purely looking at the draft it seems like the Panthers org worked perfectly. The GM was in charge, but solicited input, and had discussions, with the HC and all of his leaders. The owner probed and pushed them to make sure their reasoning was sound and logic, thinking about the long term of the org. The owner also meet independently with Corral so he could sign off on his perceived off field issues in case he was picked. So for a span of three days we had a very high functioning organization. Very much something to continue to build on and I really think Tepper has developed a lot of trust in Fitt, so I’m very optimistic moving forward. Not a fan of Matt, but I really like all of the new coaching additions.
