  1. I think he can escape pretty good. My concern is if he will escape and pass or escape and run around for a long time like he did in college. I don’t think that would work.
  2. In a way they would be better off building a team and preparing it fur a rookie QBs next year, kind of what we did in terms of O-line, strongish D etc.
  3. This made me lol. One thing the whole Stroud vs. Young debate has brought is a lot of good memes and funny comments. I’m a Stroud supporter but I laugh with both sides, and this is just really great stuff!
  4. He is tiny and an outlier size wise. That is just a fact. It might not concern you at all, which is totally fine. But continuing to argue that he is not small is just really weird. Saying people are stupid when they are concerned about his size is also weird.
  5. I think we are really setting ourselves up for BPA. No need to reach for a WR unless one falls.
  6. I’m slowly coming around to Young, I have to admit. This might not be good for his chances though
  7. I would guess that Young is such a genius it is actually rubbing off on his teammates.
  8. The draft is as much about current abilities as it is about upside and future growth. Where are the areas where Young will grow, where is his upside? How close to a finished product is he?
  9. He probably would have scored really well anyway, but that is a massive advantage. Not an apples to apples comparison with other test takers.
  10. You are probably the only one with the sources inside the organization to be able to make these statements. The rest of us have to rely on many small puzzle pieces. It absolutely sounds like Young, but everyone else, outside of you, doesn’t know if the current 1and 2 are very close or not. If very close, this is not completely inconceivable that they are willing to move back to number 2 if they get the right offer, even if it is unlikely.
  11. The idea with all tests, including the combine, is to confirm what you already know, it is another data point. If it is different from what you expect you will do some more digging to make sure you didn’t miss anything. A high score on this test doesn’t mean you will be a successful QB, however a low score is a bit concerning and you will have to do some additional homework, no doubt.
  12. Young was fantastic in College and has great tape no doubt. Some concerns about his size and potentially his arm. But some folks are not very worried about that, and it’s just different opinions. Would be extremely boring if everyone felt exactly the same way. The majority of the discussions have been really good and interesting. I think it has gotten a bit wild lately when people are saying his size is an actual advantage as if they wouldn’t like him to be bigger if that was an option.
  13. I think the media believes Tepper will override the decision, they are convinced that’s his style, and that is what they are pushing. I believe the opposite. I think he is trying to be as informed as possible so he can push back, ask the tough questions etc., everything a really good manager should do. But in the end he will let his football people make the decisions.
  14. I think Bryce was fantastic, but this lesser supporting cast is just not true. Alabama is top 3 every year in recruiting rankings and the team is absolutely stacked. The only team with similar or slightly better recruiting is Georgia. They also played a less than impressive schedule this year. They WRs might not be big names yet, but they also had the best receiving RB in college. Again, great player, really clutch etc. But he had the better team around him by far in close to all games they played.
  15. It looks like Young, no doubt about it. We should know for sure the week of the draft.
  16. I always struggle with the Lombardies of the world trashing a young man 2-3 weeks, on que, before the draft. And maybe he is correct and someone else will back it up. Until then I will chose to not take it seriously. Never heard anything bad about his character before.
  17. The big difference for me is that Skip is an a-hole. Simms is just a bit out there at times, but seems like a good guy.
  18. What have you heard about Stroud, now I’m curious?
  19. What is he referencing with 70/80? I get that point but not the numbers themselves. Not sure if I agree with strong arm, it’s not bad, but I don’t know if I would say strong in NFL terms.
  20. I think she does a great job sharing any insights she can. But for the draft QB situation it is all about what non-Panthers sources think/would do. And a lot of the time that is close enough.
  21. It might be the first QB sneak from the shotgun in NFL history
  22. To be fair, I owe you ~10 minutes, that you sat through the remaining 20 is on you
