You are brave/crazy to put “realities” and Undisputed together.

They’ve hit on a few aces in the later rounds, but let’s not pretend like they draft great. They’ve plugged a lot of their holes in free agency.

Adam Schefter reports Panthers targeting Brandt Tillis

Agree. If people are complaining over this they are just complaining for the sake of complaining. Tepper has essentially done everything one could ask for this offseason. You can disagree with the choice of GM and HC, but from a selection process and restructuring of the org, he has been spot on. -

Based on what they did with Tyrek, it will be very interesting to see what happens with Burns. I would bet they won’t overpay him. It will be the first test of the new regime. If we’re building, I’d assume we will try to trade him for assets/draft picks, which is what I’d prefer as well. Sign Brown and Luvu, trade Burns. -

Yes, good for them to not be afraid to make a tough decision. They are looking at a long runway with Mahomes and are managing their roster and cap accordingly. I don’t see an issue here. -
Really like this. Sounds like a 180 from what we’ve done before. Building it the right way with patience.

They hired an outside firm with a great reputation, has a small team including said firm, the new GM, the owners, the president of football and (I think) Jim Caldwell. They interviewed essentially everyone outside of Bill and Jim. How is that not a legitimate search with qualified candidates?

I have no doubt that Young will improve, I mean how can he not. Unfortunately I don’t think he has close to what it takes to be a high end starter.

Norris comment is spot on

My number one advice would be to get rid of Campen

Agree with you, it shows it is expected to be a longer term fix. This is the same length Shanahan got with the (at the time lowly) 49ers.

The hard part with Bryce is that we essentially have to completely break him down and re-build him. That is something you do with a late round pick, not the #1 pick. Still blows my mind the whole thing

It’s a very standard org structure that a lot of teams use. So no big deal.

Not sure why people say our process was wrong. We hired an outside firm (a very successful one at that) to lead our search. In addition we included our president of football, our owners and a football vet in Caldwell. Made 100% sense to me. We decided on a GM and he was a big part of the decision for the new HC. Everyone might not like the choices, but the process seemed very sound.

Did they panic or was he already number one in their list?
-
Yeah you showed him for not being here often enough to keep track of your posts lol

I thought he was known as a good o-line coach, but maybe not?
-
Cable is very interesting as many have mentioned, the o-line coach is the most important role on the offensive side next to Canales. I think Cable can get or line in shape, no doubt.

David, hi, some questions about this hire

Well if Bryce is half as good as Natalie claims, Bryce will carry this team to the Super Bowl any time now… -
11 minutes of what true NFL ownership looks like…. BY A WOMAN!

Agree 100%. Unfortunately it is the mo for the person starting this thread. -
This might be it.

Mine too, great blend of leadership, communication and offensive acumen.

This is my impression, and I could obviously be totally wrong. Tepper asks a lot of questions, asks people to justify their decisions, “have you thought of this?”, etc. IF his people can answer and show they know what they are doing, that they considered other solutions etc. then he’s ok. -
I also feel he would be very very dependent on getting a great OC, so I have some doubts
