  1. I’m far from an expert, so I rely heavily on what Dane Brugler says
  2. Not sure Ben wants a HC role. Panthers last year and Washington this year were close to dream situations in many ways for an offensive coach.
  3. I’m with you on Jackson Powers-Johnson, as of today he could be my choice at 33 as well. I really like Ladd McConkey as well, he knows how to get open, and he has enough speed.
  4. I saw Brugler saying he is a bit overrated and belongs more in the third round due to sloppy route running etc.
  5. He just doesn’t strike me as the disgruntled type. He’s super professional and focused. But obviously I don’t know for sure.
  6. I just question that he doesn’t want to be here. He also seem very professional. I think it is all speculation from media as usual. It might have some substance, but I’m not convinced.
  7. Love the energy, that alone makes him a 180 from Frank https://x.com/panthers/status/1752748973448688017?s=46&t=zdFLMqd3t9b2DcvnHsC-IA
  8. Agree. What do they even do now? Hiring someone they’re lukewarm over? Or will they pull someone from the Superbowl trans? Not even sure who that would be. Pretty bare pickings. I’m really glad we moved quickly and decisively.
  9. I did not see this coming for Washington, what an absolute letdown for them:
  10. Well we can just agree to disagree on this one.
  11. It is not the fact that he lost. It is how he lost. It was another playoff dud game from him. If he had played well and they still lost, the discussion would have been very different.
  12. I like what I’m seeing in terms of a younger coaching staff. Will be a completely different feel and energy vs previous regime.
  13. We’ll package him and Burns to Rams for two firsts?
  14. Here is my favorite analytics cheat from Josh Norris for drafting o-linemen (look away Mr Scot, it’s analytics):
  15. I think Caldwell is a perfect mentor and advisor for Canales, I’m happy he’s staying.
  16. Very fair. In my mind I was thinking of how you build the front 4 vs a front 3 with OLBs. Very different type of players depending on what you do.
  17. The big question is if Canales likes a 3-4? If not I don’t see Evero staying. Also, if it is likely a 1 year thing as his contract expires next year, who would take over and run said 3-4 if he leaves? They might also with great together for all I know, but since we are in a rebuild stage, do you continue with pieces for a defense that might not be here long?
  18. You should try and just say that instead of the usual nonsense
  19. Nobody hates Wilks, your take on the other hand…
  20. The 49ers MVPs are Purdys run game, Josh Reynolds drops and Dan C not kicking FGs
  21. Canales seem to have a lot of good HC attributes. Ben might as well, but it is always a gamble.
  22. I hear you. And nobody is giving any guarantees that it will work, but they are doing all the right things.
  23. There was a discussion in another thread about not extending Tyrek. And this is why, they needed to let him go to build a more well rounded team overall.
  24. It is early in his career, but he hasn’t been that good playing from behind or missing one of his superstars around him. He’s been fortunate with a lot of dropped ints. He’s really really good in their system, but he’s the, relatively speaking, weak link of that offense.
