  1. That is pretty amazing tbh. Raym could be the long term answer at C, I was impressed by him in the preseason. Also have to give a lot of props to our front office.
  2. Good for Ron, he is a great guy and I wish him the best.
  3. Likewise, I always enjoy to hear a different perspective. In my mind I just want some good players, so while maybe a bit boring, I’m ok as long as it improves the overall roster.
  4. That’s what everyone said about the Lions last year after drafting RB and MLB in the first round…
  5. It was the most fun I’ve had in a while watching our offense. A lot of positives to take away. I’m very encouraged by Canales actually scheming guys open for Bryce and a o-line scheme that seem to work. Bryce did a very good job and looked very comfortable. Hopefully it translates to the real season. We might actually have a decent shot against the Saints in our opener.
  6. I can see your side if it, no doubt. But thinking the team is hiding the offense because they are afraid of something I can’t see.
  7. Yes the hiding comments are hilarious. Hiding from what? The huddle? Mean takes on twitter? Getting 60 reps for the starters vs. Jets is particular game situations you choose is way more beneficial than the pre season games.
  8. I’m going to counter this one as I think we have 4 starters in round 2-5, which is very very good. Not sure how much more you can ask from a draft than that And maybe Legette pans out as well, that would make it a fantastic draft. Trevin Wallace has looked really really good, and I don’t get the comment about Sanders struggling to block? I know it was in his draft profile, but the last preseason game I watched he did a very good job. So I would say it looks like a really good, potentially great draft to me so far.
  9. It is kind of expected for him to do well early, he played a lot of years in college. The question is if he can take it to the next level or not or is he already close to his ceiling?
  10. I watched the first half and our draft picks from rounds 3, 4 and 5 looked really good, so that was encouraging. I think they all have high level starting potential tbh, so good stuff.
  11. I would be shocked tbh. IMO he’ll do a few highlights here and there, but he just doesn’t have what’s needed.
  12. We might question our strategy on who is playing and who is not, but no team is weirder than the Falcons:
  13. I don’t believe in Young, but it was nice too finally see a well thrown deep ball from him. Hopefully we can see some more of that.
  14. I know that these always put in a positive spin, and that’s ok to me, I really enjoy them. One thing I was happy to see is that a lot of our new signings stepping up and leading, talking to their teammates and demanding more. Setting the expectations.
  15. I agree. Unfortunately there has been limited good news out of training camp, so it is hard to play up positives. Close to all deep balls have ended up short (classified as great breakups by the db…) etc. I hope he surprises all of us and has a great season, that would be fantastic. It is just an unusual lack of positives coming out of camp from all beat writers.
  16. Not sure about Dak to be honest. While I believe he would help take us to the playoffs, Dallas is pretty loaded and he hasn’t been able to take them to the promised land. I’d rather gamble again on a rookie so we can spend more to surround him with more talent.
  17. He sure did. However, it will be interesting to see how he does when defenses force him to play in the pocket/within structure. But no doubt he has all the physical abilities needed.
  18. Yes that is brutal, honest, but brutal. And sadly not surprising.
  19. I don’t expect much of a turning point performance wise, tbh I expect us to be quite bad on offense lol. But I expect us to start turning in the right direction, see some progress, and then draft a new QB next year with some good things in place for that QB to succeed. Hopefully I’m completely wrong and we somehow look good with Bryce at the helm.
  20. Obviously you need good players for success, nobody disputes that. However, I think Carroll was a massive reason for their success.
  21. I 100% agree with you, I might have miss interpreted what you wrote. He seems high on accountability from what I’ve heard, but maybe more of it is behind closed doors.
  22. He comes from Seattle/Carroll and they were all about positivity while being extremely successful. Not saying it will work, but also not dismissing the style. The thinking that a HC has to be an asshole is, in my mind, a thing of the past. As an example, Reid and Harbaugh are extremely well liked by their teams, they are positive and good guys who knows when to put their foot down and have built a great culture. Dismissing Canales after one pre season game where he was happy that our defense looked good (I thought it looked good as well) and didn’t chew out offensive practice squad players and backups is a stretch in my mind. But as I usually say, it’s ok to disagree on these things.
  23. Maybe it was just me, but with a QB as bad as Plummer starting while resting the whole starting offense, I can’t say I was surprised one bit.
