I found this interesting on Sanders https://x.com/theathletic/status/1851954761261814050?s=46&t=zdFLMqd3t9b2DcvnHsC-IA

I would be interested in Jameis, I think he would do pretty good in Canales offense.
-
Miami is ok to just win, they don’t really care about showcasing a certain player. So in this game they didn’t need as much from Ward, just like it should be.
-
I have to disagree, we have a very good O-line and RBs. Sure we need to improve our WR situation, but for a bottom 10 team, we have an unusually good situation for a rookie QB.

Dianna Russian: several teams interested in Bryce Young
Martin replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think he agrees, and will make a point this week showcasing once again how terrible Bryce is. With Andy’s injury, that is what I would do -
Agree with this, very promising, I think he has a chance to be really good. He’s only 21.

I didn’t watch the whole game, but I feel Sanders fights for every yard. On one catch he had three guys on him and he still moved forward. I don’t see him as soft at all.

Mike Kaye: Panthers might start Bryce Young final 7 games
Martin replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The question is (it is not really a question tbh), do you want to develop the young WRs and TEs, or do you want to give it another go with Bryce? These are two mutually exclusive options. Developing WRs and TEs is the no brainer answer. Bryce is who he is, no playtime will change that, he is not part of our future. -
I agree, I never got the QB whisper thing. What I think he does is design a good system to help a capable QB (btw, Bryce is not a capable QB) do well. And that’s what we’ve seen with Andy so far. I like Canales so far and I’ll think he’ll be here for a long time. We just need to get a good young QB that he can work with.

I’m open to it as long as we don’t trade up. There are some interesting QBs in this group that can become something. And things will change over the next 2-3 months as we get in to the playoffs etc. Daniels was not considered a top prospect at this time last year if I remember correctly.

If We Don't Win Another Game. Do We Make Any Trades??
Martin replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
At some point you have to try to keep some good players. Diontae is worth keeping, Michael Jackson is worth keeping, Dalton on a two year contract is worth keeping. Our O is not bad, so let’s keep those pieces in place while we add to the defense, and we’re starting to get somewhere. I’m not saying to overpay, but around market value we should definitely do it. -
What Do You Think About Our Rookies Thus Far?
Martin replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Really encouraging so far, like what I’ve seen from Legette and Coker, Wallace is very active and is already making the defensive calls, I’m high on Sanders, he just needs more time. Brooks is tbd, but he has a lot of potential -
Ian Thomas, this quote from him makes it even worse:
-
love to see that Coker is getting more snaps than Mingo. I thought so yesterday and here are the numbers. We need to keep Andy in there to help develop the young guys.
-
Agree with you. Also loved that Sanders got every yard he could out of his catches. Hopefully the young guys will continue to grow, makes it fun to watch the games and will help us greatly next year.
-
Yes, but what is Evero doing to help him?
-
He got the HC role 1-2 years too early, but that is what you have to do when a team is as bad as ours. That said, I like him benching Young, not being afraid playing young guys, some really good playcalling (ups and downs are expected for a young coach). I think he can become a good one, he seems smart, he’s a strong communicator etc. he just needs some time to settle in and gain experience, as well as updating the roster to fit what he’s looking for.

Here’s my take. Initially Tepper trusted the wrong people which led to Rhule, Rhule led to Fitt. Terrible start. Not sure if it was Rhule or Fitt, kept Fitt which was another massive mistake, leading to Young and Reich. Now we have Dan (still up in the air, but I’m hopeful) and Canales (I think he’ll be here for a long time, I think we found the right guy). Tepper wants to win, if you think otherwise you are plain wrong. He has just trusted and hired the wrong people. When will he get it right? Or has he finally done it? There are a lot of bad GMs and HCs out there. A lot of teams struggle with the same thing. It is baffling to watch all these moves across the league, and tbh, a lot of times it feels like the casual fan would do a better job. Just look at the Giants, Jets, Browns etc. 49ers, Detroit etc. were terrible for a long time. I’m hopeful Canales is our guy, if not it will take us a while to get there. This year is all about showing progress and improvement. If we do that, this was a successful year for me.

He’s a solid LT. Just leave him where he is.
-
I agree, very promising and exciting start for the young rookie
-
I thought the Dionte trade was really good, the MJ pickup at corner looks really good to me. Not sure what else to ask from our CBs when we have 0 pressure on the QB. A’Shawn Robinson looks good, Clowney at $10M a year is not bad etc. But it sounds like we look at it very differently. DB getting injured was a rough one that really sunk the D imo

Which FA signing is your biggest issue?
-
What about Wilson’s 13 tackles in 5 games stands out? Why is it a huge red flag for you?
-
I agree with Canales having a rough game, but it seems like the point of this thread was to bash Andy.
