It is totally fine to want Lamar. Different opinions make this board more interesting. Where it goes sideways is where every topic discusses Lamar. That’s what people get tired of. For example, this is a Will Levis thread.

Very fair. This would be our only option to create any leverage. Essentially let us know shortly or we’ll move on to the Cardinals. But this play is admittedly a stretch.

I might be wrong here, but from what I’ve seen is that Richardson is inexperienced and inaccurate. Levis is bad at processing. It is extremely hard to overcome poor processing in an older more experienced player. Not saying it can’t be done, but it feels like an uphill climb.

If it was me I would give the Bears my best offer but they would have to accept before FA starts as a trade would dictate our FA strategy.

All three of them are great, well worth your time

Josh Norris and Josh McCown (pre us hiring him) made this excellent show where they analyzed Young, Stroud and Levis. Their analysis felt very fair and unbiased. I haven’t watched any of Levis games myself, but I fully trust the opinions of the Joshes, and the Levis review was rough. They tried to be nice, but it felt like the mental aspect and processing is significantly lacking for Levis. So that’s why I don’t want him. I don’t hate him at all, but that analysis made me not want him. Here is the link;

This is my assumption: If we like Young and Stroud, we’ll have to get to 1 or 2 to get them. They will be gone by pick 3. If we are good with 3 of them with no strong preference we should trade with the Cards. Personally I believe Young and Stroud are clearly the top 2, then a drop of to Richardson and then a big drop of to Levis. But that is just my opinion, I obviously have no idea what the Panthers think.

I also don’t put tons of weight on Kunkel’s opinion on best scheme fit. I would think Stroud is a great fit.

So what is your QB solution. Not trying to be an ass here, just curious. Mine is to risk it a bit and trade up for Stroud.

Colts feels like a team that is constantly over thinking it. I don’t think they will get their act together and trade up. But that is some wild speculation on my end.

Could be, it could also mean we have our long term answer at QB. At some point we have to do something, we know doing nothing will not work.

I agree, it just bugs me that some reporters are not more upfront about it. It is an issue with the clickbait era unfortunately.

I think Joe does a good job saying “…my sense is…”. It is very clear it is his opinion. Joe is doing a great job at the Athletic.

It feels like Kunkel is often speculating or thinking out loud on what he would do and then pass it on as information he’s learned from sources. So it is hard to trust him imo. But I’m sure he gets it right at times.

I almost think Seattle resigning Geno makes it more likely they take AR. It would be a perfect situation where he can sit, learn and develop behind Geno.

No doubt all owners talked about the Browns contract with the creep and said it was crazy. But there are two other main concerns here: 1) The injury history the last two years is not good. 2) Ravens are not known for being a cheap organization. If they can’t come to an agreement with their star QB after negotiating for two years… Other teams for sure have a rough idea what Lamar is asking for and don’t think it is worth their time.

Some of the processing misstates he makes are a huge red flag. Especially for an older player. I can see making a case for the other three, but Levis is a no go for me.
