  1. Yes that is really odd, unless they know something. On the other hand, they might just bring him in for a private workout instead. But it is odd.
  2. I’ve asked the same question. How do we know that Stroud isn’t close to Young when it comes to processing? It seems to be an assumption based on nothing.
  3. I’m for Stroud. I think he’s the better passer and I think the Stroud we saw against Georgia is the real Stroud. So he has plenty of upside while Young is closer to being maxed out. Young is also great, but I would be slightly disappointed.
  4. Sounds like the FA WRs are struggling with their market value. Panthers should stand firm and not overpay.
  5. I remember you were all in on Stroud waaaay back. I don’t follow college ball as closely so it has taken me a while to catch up, but I’m all in on Stroud as well.
  6. Young’s actual playing weight is closer to 180 if I understand correctly. Wilson played at 205, so it is a huge difference. Maybe Young can play at 205, but if so, why didn’t he?
  7. That was kind of my point, we know what Young do/can do, we don’t know if Stroud is very similar or not. E.g. we know that Levis struggles.
  8. We know that Young’s processing is awesome, but I also haven’t heard anything negative about Stroud’s processing. Have we seen any analyst say Stroud is not as good of a processor? Do we have any proof that he is not on the same level? Just because he isn’t running around like Young? That’s more a playing style thing in my mind. And to clarify, I’m totally open to this being the case, but I’m curious if anyone can back this up outside of just a random opinion?
  9. How good is Jeudy? I haven’t followed him at all. Is he living up to his draft status?
  10. I don’t disagree, I just think Stroud is more the type he is looking for.
  11. I still believe they are looking for a QB to play mostly within the system, which is clearly Stroud to me.
  12. Always felt meh about him, but he’s a solid all around TE, and that will be great for our rookie QB. Now we can also draft and develop a young TE. TEs usually take a while before they contribute. I’m just waiting to see what the cost is.
  13. Still think Austin Hopper would be a great value at TE. A bit meh on Hurst.
  14. That would make Elijah Moore expendable. He’s going in to his third year. Not sure how good he’s been, hard to tell when you play for the Jets.
  15. Exactly, but that shouldn’t stop us from trying to improve. I just thought that was an odd way to think about it.
  16. I think we need a #1, but we also need a deep threat. They are not mutually exclusive.
  17. 3 years $18M. That’s a great deal!
  18. I saw a tweet a little while back but I can’t find it. It stated the center position was really slow as players were expecting $10-12M a year but teams were currently at $6M per year. So that is good news in terms of Bozeman. If we can get him in the $8M a year range, that would be great.
  19. There seem to be confusion between playing weight and bulking up for the combine. Brees and other had a playing weight if +205 lbs. Young had a playing weight of ~180 lbs. if he could easily put in weight, and it wouldn’t impact his play, he would have done so already. He has a very narrow frame and will struggle to gain, and maintain, any substantial weight.
  20. Outside of resigning Bozeman, my wishlist is Austin Hooper (TE) and Hardman/Paris at WR. That would set us up really well in the draft.
  21. I think he liked 2021 Levis, not sure about the 2022 version
  22. Here is a short analysis by Greg Cosell. He lives Young, but also states Young played at 169 in the championship game last year, now that is a bit scary
  23. I’m the opposite, thinking there will be a better TE than WR available. But I don’t know much about the WR group. Who are you hoping to be available?
