Good to see Burns out there for $30M a year making absolutely no impact lol
-
Very happy with Dan so far, will it all pan out? Who knows? But I like essentially all his moves so far
-
I expected early success from him and Nix due to their experience, so I’m not super surprised. I was more concerned about their upside if that makes sense.
-
I did have Maye as my #1 and still do. Wasn’t sure about Caleb as his playstyle was mostly improvising out of pocket. Hadn’t seen Daniels much, but was sceptical how much upside he had after five years as a starter. But that was a great game from him.

Best and worst PFF grades from Panthers' Week 3 win

Sanders made some mistakes, but he’s getting after it with his blocking. Very promising imo -
Yeah everyone seemed super disappointed when he gave Canales a game ball and then quickly removed himself. This is sarcasm btw, Tepper ruined nothing and all players cheered when Canales got the game ball.

This is the point where they’ll get the most they’ll ever can for him. There are still egos out there that think they can fix him.
-
The money is ok for me. What bothers me is his dad putting his son first and the team second. That is not ok for all the other players on the team. But that is also not surprising considering who his dad is.

The most important thing to me is to have a true bridge QB and don’t start a rookie. Pats are doing it the right way this year. Packers have done it that way for years etc. That also allows you to draft a high upside QB and develop him. And it would work really well with Candles as a HC. Allen from Penn State would definitely fit the bill for this.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone gave us a 5th rounder. That seems to be the going rate for one last chance reclamation projects.

Pats legend Cam Newton speaks on the Panthers benching Bryce Young

I think the plan was to give him more time, he was just so incredibly bad. -
It is not an unusual situation in real corporate life where you’re not sure you can make some big decisions before you talk to your boss about it. I believe as soon as Canales understood it was a viable option, it was a no brainer. So in many ways this was a joint decision between him, Tepper, Dan etc. as it impacts the direction of the org long term. I also think they were all aligned as they’d seen enough at this point.

Adding in this from the Athletic where his own teammates chime in -
It should be Trevin Wallace…

Assuming it's done do you select a qb this year or wait?
Martin replied to Panthero's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think everyone laughed at Falcons because they brought in an old rookie that will be close to 30 by the time he starts. -
So was that a yes? His dad’s fault or not, he has to be able to lead. I do like Ward and Ewers as well.
-
I think he can play. I don’t follow him close (or at all really), but from what I’ve read I have serious reservations about his abilities to lead. A lot of finger pointing and trashing people.
-
This should be a very good QB class, not sure why some people say otherwise?

How surpised were you at how the team looked(Game 1 Edition)?
Martin replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
I expected us to be pretty bad, but this was somehow even worse. This season will be all about the o-line growing together, develop young talent on both sides of the ball etc. Then we can be ready for a new QB in the draft. I think this will end up being a very strong group of QBs, so I’m excited about it. -
I obviously don’t know how things will turn out, but I don’t see much to disagree with in regards to the last offseason and draft this year, but maybe I’m the only one.
