  1. I have a hard time seeing it consistently moving forward, even in this game he just hit 50% completion rate and DJ did a lot of the work. But if he does, good for him, seems like a good guy.
  2. I think the Nicole bashing and misogyny is getting a bit out of hand. If the GM and HC didn’t push back it is on them, not her.
  3. I hear you, but I will continue to live in happy denial for a few more weeks
  4. That is a scary thought, I’m not there yet, holding out hope. If true they should all be fired today.
  5. Agree, that is the biggest issue. His mind was supposed to overcome everything else, and we are waiting to see that come through. It is early yet, but I expected more at this point.
  6. Got you. Yeah Stroud is doing what many of us thought he would. This is the “Georgia game Stroud”.
  7. I agree with this. However, he should adapt his offense to fit the player, not the other way around. So that I blame him for.
  8. I think we will run this experiment for two years, then clean house, but we’ll see.
  9. I said nothing about “not great quarterbacking”. I wanted Stroud over Bryce. Stroud looks great and I also believe he would do better than Bryce is currently doing in our current system. Will Bryce catch up to him eventually? One can dream and hope so. I just pointed out that Texans are performing better than they look on paper across the offensive positions, which probably comes from much better play design and coaching, an area where we are significantly lacking.
  10. I’ll admit up front that I’ve only seen highlights of Stroud. In the highlight he has great protection and WRs with some separation. So on paper we should be better, but in reality we are not. That said Stroud has obviously shown a lot more than Bryce.
  11. We would need someone like Ben Johnson who was our #1 target for HC this year. He would establish a strong run game and innovate pass game. But he already said no this year…
  12. It’s a good article about eight or so young QBs they do every week. Weird to come and post and not even read it.
  13. The question is if they are balking at the idea of paying two WRs or if it is paying overall, even if it is another position?
  14. This is always a good read. Includes the good and the bad and overall grades: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/grading-nfls-next-generation-of-qbs-week-4-huge-bounce-back-from-sam-howell-bryce-young-flops-again/
  15. Higgins feels like the only realistic ish option. Bengals won’t resign him next year and they stink this year. But would they swap him for Burns or not? I wouldn’t use any of our picks.
  16. Kind off. The fact that every opposing defense also knows we aren’t throwing the ball more than 5 yards makes it easy to apply pressure without any risk. So while the o-line is bad, it is exacerbated by the play calling.
  17. We just need to open things up, I don’t care if he throws 20 ints, just go for it and let him learn. This conservative, limit the mistakes kind of offense is just terrible.
  18. And that’s why our excuses for o-line injuries carry no weight, everyone is able to adapt and coach around it, why can’t we? I mean we know why, but you get the point.
  19. A good friend of mine lives in Indy and he warned me about Reich, and everything he said is unfortunately coming true.
  20. Our defense is playing really well, down 3 CBs and Jamieson is looking capable, Robinson is looking good at S, Gross-Matos is looking great etc. Rookies and former rejects holding Cousins to his lowest total in years. Why? Because of good coaching. I was all for Reich, and I was soooo wrong. He is the main weakness on offense. Sure o-line is struggling etc. but it all comes back to him. Chuba starts the game hot, Frank puts him on the bench. Brady Quinn begging for the Panthers to take a shot down the field for three quarters, “won’t happen” says Frank. Setting up 3rd and longs constantly with inept play calling. A good coach can scheme around weaknesses, and Frank cannot. If he insists on continuing to call the plays, I would fire him on the spot, and I don’t say that lightly. It is not Bryce, it is not Ickey, it is how they are used. And that is all Frank.
  21. Corbett back will make life a lot easier for Bose. He would only have to worry about LG instead of both guards. I like Zavala long term at LG, but I think it will be rough for some time yet.
