  1. Yeah you showed him for not being here often enough to keep track of your posts lol
  2. I thought he was known as a good o-line coach, but maybe not?
  3. Cable is very interesting as many have mentioned, the o-line coach is the most important role on the offensive side next to Canales. I think Cable can get or line in shape, no doubt.
  4. Well if Bryce is half as good as Natalie claims, Bryce will carry this team to the Super Bowl any time now…
  5. Agree 100%. Unfortunately it is the mo for the person starting this thread.
  6. Mine too, great blend of leadership, communication and offensive acumen.
  7. This is my impression, and I could obviously be totally wrong. Tepper asks a lot of questions, asks people to justify their decisions, “have you thought of this?”, etc. IF his people can answer and show they know what they are doing, that they considered other solutions etc. then he’s ok.
  8. I also feel he would be very very dependent on getting a great OC, so I have some doubts
  9. Thank you for sharing this one. I hit my monthly limit for free articles from SI
  10. That makes sense. They interviewed him and didn’t feel he brought some of the pieces needed to be a HC.
  11. That’s my list as well. I really like Canales. His background is great, great leader and communicator etc.
  12. So are you seriously saying you think Tepper would not have listened when the competent front office people told him why they changed the plan to take a DT? You think he would have protested when they showed him why it was a better value? You think he would have forced them to take a WR in the second round?
  13. Not sure how I feel about Vrabel. He had issues working with the new GM in Tennessee, talked bad about him to the owner etc. He could have had legit ish reasons, but not impressed with how that went down.
  14. I know, he must have been shocked. The rest of us, not very surprised.
  15. Most, if not all, teams have moved away from giving all control to the HC these days. So I think you are spot on.
  16. I found it really funny that this was the example, someone doing exactly what Dave and Nicole does. The difference is that she got somewhat lucky with her hires. Otherwise exactly the same.
  17. And we’ve seen many times before that “second tier” candidates do really well and even better that the cream of the crop ones. But we’ll see.
  18. Got you. We’ve been fairly tight lipped about this so I’m not sure if we have one or not. But maybe he said no thanks. If we have one, I think we’ll hear about it the same day. Im curious about Slowik as well, has he done any second interviews?
  19. I haven’t heard anything about second interviews for him with anyone. Any other teams we know of that I’ve missed?
  20. From what I’ve read Canales is a great communicator and leader, potentially the culture setter we need in top of being a good offensive mind. Anyone hear anything about Slowik and Johnson in that regard?
  21. The more I think about it I’m a bit torn on Ben Johnson, his oline is very very good, so would he struggle without it? Some of the best plays from the Lions are slower developing because the line gives Goff plenty of time. But maybe I’m overthinking it?
  22. I do like that two former players in Morgan and Wilson are part of the group interviewing the HC group. They will certainly look for some things from a players perspective including leadership qualities,
  23. The pick is the big issue. The trade and taking Stroud is very different from the trade and taking Bryce. Trade + Bryce is an F.
