  1. Dan Morgan strikes again, only a 5 and 6 for a premier pass rusher. Should have gotten at least a 3rd…
  2. I think you can essentially replace Chuck Norris with Sanders in all those memes, and that is where he is at
  3. From everything I’ve read he was incredibly toxic, and everyone knew about it. So there was no chance to get anything of real value for him, but he needed to get off the team. So in the real world it makes a lot of sense. Obviously a lot of Huddlers would have gotten at least multiple high picks for him…
  4. Allar has the chance to fly up the boards with a strong finish to the season, will be very interesting to see what he can do “on the big stage”
  5. This 100%. I don’t understand why people don’t get it.
  6. I’m leaning QB, but that top 3 would be something special
  7. I really like that nothing was ever handed to him, he was a 0 star recruit out of high school and had to earn his way as a starting QB. Not a common path for a QB, and the opposite of many coddled first round QB prospects. He has everything you’re looking for in terms of physical abilities. To your point, if he finish strong in the playoffs, he will be close to a no brainer at no 1. But we will have to wait to find out.
  8. Here is Brugler on Ward “(Ward’s) 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, electric arm talent, really elusive in the pocket,” Brugler told Russini and Daniel. “He’s a very loose player, and that’s part of what makes him dangerous — but he’s also loose with his decision-making, and that directly leads to negative plays. “The best way I can sum it up is he’s a ‘fireworks’ player. He can create an explosive play on any snap, but fireworks also have that big warning label on them, right? When you’re careless with fireworks, negative results will follow. I’m encouraged by the progress that we’ve seen from Ward. He was a Wing-T quarterback in high school, (played in the) Air Raid at Incarnate Word, then Washington State. He’s still in an Air Raid offense now, but you see a little more variation. “The character reviews I’ve heard from scouts — really smart, great leader, confident kid. I don’t think he’s faced a great defense, that’s kind of the problem with the ACC this year. But this is where the 12-team playoff could come into play, because think about last year with Michael Penix Jr.. If he doesn’t have that 430-yard passing performance against Texas in the semifinals, is he still a top-10 pick? Who knows. “Consciously or subconsciously, scouts and teams, they’re gonna weight these playoff games a little bit more — that big stage. Selfishly, I want to see Miami make the playoff, just so we can see Ward on that stage.”
  9. “I think he probably goes first round,” Brugler said of Sanders, “because he’s poised, he’s tough, he’s accurate. The physical traits don’t wow you. “I’m gonna give a quarterback comparison, but I’m gonna qualify it: In terms of quarterbacking style, I think the comparison is Jordan Love, because they’re very fluid with their throwing motions, they bounce around, backpedal at times, keep the weight on the back foot, use a lot of different platforms. But Shedeur is smaller and has a B-level arm, not an A-level arm — and so that’s the key difference.”
  10. I don’t think you listened at all. He said his style is very similar to Love, but he doesn’t have the same physical attributes. You obviously disagree, but there was nothing wrong in how he delivered his opinion.
  11. I found this interesting on Sanders https://x.com/theathletic/status/1851954761261814050?s=46&t=zdFLMqd3t9b2DcvnHsC-IA
  12. I would be interested in Jameis, I think he would do pretty good in Canales offense.
  13. Miami is ok to just win, they don’t really care about showcasing a certain player. So in this game they didn’t need as much from Ward, just like it should be.
  14. I have to disagree, we have a very good O-line and RBs. Sure we need to improve our WR situation, but for a bottom 10 team, we have an unusually good situation for a rookie QB.
  15. I think they would try to trade back, but if they don’t get a good enough offer, they will draft a QB
  16. I think he agrees, and will make a point this week showcasing once again how terrible Bryce is. With Andy’s injury, that is what I would do
  17. Agree with this, very promising, I think he has a chance to be really good. He’s only 21.
  18. I didn’t watch the whole game, but I feel Sanders fights for every yard. On one catch he had three guys on him and he still moved forward. I don’t see him as soft at all.
  19. The question is (it is not really a question tbh), do you want to develop the young WRs and TEs, or do you want to give it another go with Bryce? These are two mutually exclusive options. Developing WRs and TEs is the no brainer answer. Bryce is who he is, no playtime will change that, he is not part of our future.
  20. I agree, I never got the QB whisper thing. What I think he does is design a good system to help a capable QB (btw, Bryce is not a capable QB) do well. And that’s what we’ve seen with Andy so far. I like Canales so far and I’ll think he’ll be here for a long time. We just need to get a good young QB that he can work with.
  21. I’m open to it as long as we don’t trade up. There are some interesting QBs in this group that can become something. And things will change over the next 2-3 months as we get in to the playoffs etc. Daniels was not considered a top prospect at this time last year if I remember correctly.
  22. At some point you have to try to keep some good players. Diontae is worth keeping, Michael Jackson is worth keeping, Dalton on a two year contract is worth keeping. Our O is not bad, so let’s keep those pieces in place while we add to the defense, and we’re starting to get somewhere. I’m not saying to overpay, but around market value we should definitely do it.
  23. Really encouraging so far, like what I’ve seen from Legette and Coker, Wallace is very active and is already making the defensive calls, I’m high on Sanders, he just needs more time. Brooks is tbd, but he has a lot of potential
  24. Ian Thomas, this quote from him makes it even worse:
  25. love to see that Coker is getting more snaps than Mingo. I thought so yesterday and here are the numbers. We need to keep Andy in there to help develop the young guys.
