  1. We saw last year how "splitting" practice reps between Darnold/Mayfield and making them "earn" their job went. We came out week 1 rusty, players had no connection with each other, o-line missing assignments (because of Rhule's dumbass musical chairs theory), etc. It was just an all around mess. Let's not overthink this. Let Bryce get the much need reps with the 1s. Let Bryce get a connection with his WRs, center, o-line throughout training camp and preseason. Let's not have to figure this sh*t out weeks 1-4 because we wanted to make him "earn" the job. We are not in a position like the 49ers were with Mahomes to let him sit a year. They had the benefit of already being a very good team. We don't have that luxury, let Bryce learn on the fly.
  2. Just the fact that they acknowledge and are aware of the fact gives me a lot of hope for this front office and coaching staff. I LOVED that they mentioned this. With Ron Rivera and Co., it was always trying to fit a square peg in a round hole and always dismissing the elephant in the room. Cam needed a good o-line and WRs his whole career here, yet for some reason Ron and Hurney thought nothing was wrong. It's such a breath of fresh air to actually have a front office self aware enough to know a good o-line is a MUST.
  3. That hit at 8:08 in OP's video against Florida was vicious. Free blitzer with a clear shot at Bryce and just cleans him straight in the chest. What does Bryce do? He stands in there, takes the hit, delivers a strike, gets right back up, and then finishes the drive with a TD. There's not many BIG QBs that could do that sequence. Just sayin.
  4. You traded all of that and only ended up with Smith-Njigba, Kincaid, and Bresee? You suck lol You could have at least managed to keep the Bojangles.
  5. Yep. Brain just going through the motions.
  6. I'm hoping ATL has the best mediocre season this year. Do not want them getting in position to get or potentially move up for Caleb Williams or Drake Maye.
  7. Well, all our offensive picks were knock out of the park. All our defensive picks were highly questionable. We're going to find out whether Evero is legit or not with these selections.
  8. This x100 Everybody kept bitching that we would always put offense on the back burner in drafts. Now that we finally did the opposite (like everybody wanted), now everybody saying we should have went defense early lol I for one am absolutely HYPED on Mingo. Dude has all the tools to become a LEGIT #1 ala AJ Brown type.
  9. Stupid trade. Still a TON of talent left, he would have been there at 93rd, and you would have bene able to keep your other 4th rounder. If you tradfed up for anybody, it should have been Simpson or Ade.
  10. Dammit. Was REALLY hoping he would continue to fall. Wanted him badly.
  11. Mingo was the only WR in this class that had the size to actually become a true #1. Every other receiver was undersized and shifty. I love this pick! He is an AJ Brown clone. Same school and all.
  12. I would put the Falcons as a "bomb". I get it, Bijan was the top rated RB, but have teams not learned that you just don't take RBs in the top 10? We had the most versatile RB in the NFL, and didn't win games. Saquon Barkley's team never does sh*t. Derrick Henry had some of the craziest seasons from a RB EVER, and only got to the AFC championship once. Dalvin Cook teams never did anything. Jonathan Taylor one of the best backs in the league, his teams never do anything. Not to mention, even if he DOES ball out, then you have to pay a RB top dollar on his next contract, and we've seen first hand how that works out. SO GLAD the Falcons didn't take Jalen Carter lol
  13. If we somehow get Zay Flowers AND Bryce, I'm busting.
  14. Can this draft hurry up so I can see if we trade back into the 1st or not so I can go to sleep
  15. I mean, CMC was a problem too, it just didn't translate to wins. RBs are not worth top 10 picks.
  16. Wait, why did I get a warning for "tipping a pick"? I don't know whether ATL is getting Bijan or not, I'm just speculating that I do not want him in ATL.
  17. Please God let Levis fall to the Falcons lol
  18. Absolutely loving that both CJ and AR are headed to the stacked AFC lol
  19. I've been adamant this whole offseason that I would not mind either Bryce or Stroud. I'm just happy that we actually have something to look forward to again. Retaining Matt Rhule last offseason and going into 2022 season knowing it was a lame duck situation just killed my fandom. Anybody with any ounce of common sense saw that season coming a mile away (except Tepper apparently). But, times are looking more bright and I haven't been this excited since....................................well since Cam was still here.
  20. I miss him so much These last couple of years is exactly why many of us HATED when fans would bash on Cam during his era. All those fans that wanted Cam gone got their wish, and it was a depressing one. We've been a joke ever since he was kicked to the curb. I said it back then and I'll say it now, we did not deserve Cam.
