  1. In other news, the Bears get a penalty for staring at a sideline, the Pats get nothing for twisting an ankle
  2. It's not worth the time/pining thinking about Trey Smith. Slater, yes, is a legit LT/G we should have taken over Horn. The second being Sam Cosmi over Marshall Rd2 and not trading down. Would have been a perfect Rd1-2. It's all pointless at this stage, but we've got 70th overall in Brady C. and then Moton. Brady isn't even a for sure future G for us but at least still has the potential IMO for a long term LG. We have an entire line to build.
  3. We already have one going kamakazi at the alien spaceship
  4. Putting us out of our misery. About to be PJ time and then Morgan in a few weeks to put a close on the season. I’m feeling a nice 5-11 repeat
  5. The best truly available veteran QBs that would be willing to come to Charlotte is very limited. I can see maybe Dalton, Jimmy G, Nick Foles, Marriott, Trubiski, I mean, there’s next to nothing next year and most of them are as much if not worse journeyman than Teddy. Wilson, Rogers, etc. aren’t happening. Reach be damned, we need to scout this upcoming class high and dry to see if one clicks. If we’re sitting at let’s say #13 and those top 2-3 linemen are gone, you have to look at Howell, Ridder, Strong, etc. Watching another QB class come and go and missing out on the next potential Allen, Mahoney, Dak, Herbert, etc. will be tough. Hell, I’d take a Hurts or Mills type pick at this point and throw them out there. QB & line focus with a new offensive system/OC. We’ve only taken a shot at Grier in the 3rd and that’s it since Cam. There’s no way we go into 2022 with one of those scrub journeymen above and nothing else.
  6. I'm not saying this would crank out wins. I'm saying this would be an acceptable shake up before a blow up.
  7. Promote Sean Ryan, get rid of Sam & Joe. See what he can do with scrubs.
  8. Rhule. I agree with *Rayzor--we need to get his hand off the steering wheel this coming offseason and see what Fit can do. There's a dual nature to the current situation with Rhule having final say. This is his animal and has been since he was brought in. We've got a Coach+GM combo man with a GM advisor right now and it blows.
  9. The thing is I remember how peeps talked about Allen, Mahomes, & Herbert in their draft classes. Still remember a crowd wanting Gabbert (along with Dareus and PP) over Cam. I've also seen a lot of wishing Herbert fell but people wanted to avoid him like the plague on here. And I'm sorry but Mac Jones, Zach Wilson, & Justin Fields don't look that special, and you can typically at least parse out the busts vs. needing time folks by now. Looking at Pickett, Howell, & Strong for example...I mean, there's not some steep differential in looking at other years. Honestly, last year looks like crap right meow. Willis, Corral, Ridder, etc. are indeed gambles but there's a few that could play pretty quickly IMO. NFL arms, with great deep ball accuracy. I will reserve judgement on this class. If Strong didn't have his knee history, he's #1 hands down even considering his average/slower mobility. You either take the chance or wait for a diamond in the rough while building the rest. I think there's 5 who's potential warrants top-30 picks, 3 of them could play fairly quickly.
  10. Today was a big shift. Difference in 20-22 in the draft vs. 10-13. Now, proceed with the tanking. Seriously though, how the hell did we throw in a 2nd for Sam? Even with how poorly he's done, I could've taken a 3rd+2 mid rounders. But a 2nd is tough to swallow given it could be a top-40 pick.
  11. I was looking back at 2010 and really cemented in my mind we could barely score after Moore was "injured" early that year thrusting Jimmy in. And it's true. Never forget the agony that was 2010. Jimmy's lines were like 10-23 50 yards and an INT. It seriously does not get worse than that season. An owner basically deciding to mail it in for the year with a coach w/nothing to care about/on the way out. And a horrible horrible QB we had to throw in after what we thought we found in Matt Moore did not in any way materialize. That was just painful. Problem is this IS more painful because of the talent this team has. Far and away a potential playoff team with the right QB+Coach combo. And we....chose...POORLY
  12. Seriously, let’s just try James Morgan. We’ve got nothing to lose. Only potential diamonds in the rough to find. See: Mike freaking White
  13. Corral, Pickett, Willis, Strong and Howell are all options. I’d consider all ahead of a Jalen Hurts if let’s say he was in the same draft.
  14. Yep. Benching him just makes it awkward at this point. Cut our losses while we're ahead. We'll lose the same $$ next year cutting him tomorrow vs June 2022. Just get it over with. And throw someone else out there not name PJ Walker. Morgan, a FA, I don't care at this point.
  15. I'm on the Eberfluss train. Eberfluss as HC, Pickett at QB
  16. 2010 could not get first downs. Completely anemic. Darnold will sometimes get momentum until the eventual pick/consecutive incompletions. But it is pretty f*cking awful that he has DJ Moore & CMC and can't even muster an average stat line. It's unreal had bad he is with progressions.
  17. He's actively hurting an otherwise pretty decent team IMO. It is time to take him behind the barn. Doesn't matter if it's PJ or not, this cannot continue. His throws risk injury, he gives the other team's points, just bad news all around.
  18. Damn, we're getting the squad back. Now let's just throw James Morgan in and watch this blossom. I kid...sorta

    Henry Ruggs III

Horrible. I just don't get not being able to call an uber. There's zero excuse anymore for anyone with a smart phone. *Off soapbox. Terrible, tragic. He's gone.
  20. It's James Morgan time. If we're willing to put PJ Walker out there again, we should just see what the Wisconsin kid has.
  21. There's a decent chance James Morgan is better than PJ Walker. 4th rounder, doesn't sound that bad either. He should know the playbook alright by now, I'd give him a shot. PJ looks plain old awful. And a shrimp at that. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/james-morgan/32004d4f-5216-3437-2fdf-965084d7442b
  22. I don't mind him either. My thought is if he looks legit to the scouts, he'll be the top pick so would be the one out of reach in our purgatory zone.
