Welp.. Levis, Hooker or McKee come on down.

But seriously, every NFC team minus MIN, PHI and Dallas could be looking for a QB this offseason. Maybe that's what Lamar Jackson sees and wants to have free reign in the easy conference. -

Wonder if having Jameson would give them a bit of an internal push for Bryce over Levis or Stroud. -

True. Potential 2023 QB needy: NFCS: (4) Falcons, Saints, Panthers, Bucs NFCE: (2) Commanders, Giants NFCN: (3) Packers, Lions, Bears NFCW: (2) Seattle, 49ers AFCS: (3) Texans, Colts, Titans (maybe) AFCE: (2) Patriots, Jets AFCN: (1) Pittsburgh (may not be sold on Pickett) AFCW: (1) Raiders That's over half the league. This league could hit a pretty substantial QB drought if this next draft doesn't produce any good ones. From my view, the last 2 drafts are not looking like good one at the position, so maybe we lucked out with our spiraling under Rhule. Lamar, Allen, Burrow, Tua, Herbert, Hurts..that's really it since 2018. Not sold on Lawrence yet so he's a maybe. And that's mostly AFC so the NFC is gonna be a battlefield to find the next best QB. -

That Philly snag from them is looking pretty nice. Seattle and Philly both played into some nice trades as things stand. -

Yup those Tennessee and UGA games will be big ones to watch for us. -

Surveying the positioning, Detroit, Houston, Seattle (Through DEN), *Saints, & Atlanta are the other teams that could be in position to take a QB. Denver really does look bad, and will likely fire Hackett, but I can see them pulling out some more wins to keep Seattle from the top of the draft. Though imagine that move if Russell nets them everything they got from Denver including a top-5 pick for a new franchise QB? Same with Saints and Atlanta. Both have enough offense to win games. Detroit and Houston are the two to watch. Lions..they still get the Bears twice and us Christmas Eve. Texans though, yeah I can see them with maybe only 1-2 wins left on their calendar. *edit: scratch the Saints -
Do we have any all-pros?

There's a lot of people saying picking number one doesn't mean much...
davos replied to Mol3m4n's topic in Carolina Panthers
We are pretty clearly taking a QB no matter where we pick in round 1. If we win enough that we're around 8-15, then I see us trading up to get one. Simple as that. There's as of now, 3 (maybe 4) high first round QBs so I'm not going to waste the time getting frustrated if we're sitting at 1 one week, 4 the next, etc. -
Panthers are one game out of first place in the NFCS

Bucs are getting the Ravens on a short week. Could be playing ATL for first on Sunday. For real. We could VERY, realistically be the 4 seed come next Monday. -

We could become really nicely toned butt cheeks. -
SF losing. 3-4 incoming. They've got the Rams, Chargers, Dolphins, Cards 2X, Raiders, Seahawks (are never a slouch against them) Lot more potential Ls to help bump the CMC pick.

Just start collecting as many potential skill position dudes on offense as possible with a new upcoming offensive minded HC. QB, WR, RB, TE, get after anyone and everyone we can to build a legit offense.

Trevor Lawrence proves going #1 doesn't mean much

Let's not turn this into everyone saying how right they are or were. Bottom line is you want to be in position to take the QB you want. That liberty starts to fade once you're near pick 10-12ish. And then you can sometimes find diamonds in the rough all over, any round or selection. But you want the ability to take who you want whether that be Stroud, Levis, Young, or Hootie & the Blowfish. -
Foreman/Hubbard combo ain't too damn bad.

I liked what they brought today for sure. Buuuut with the lines close to fortified, we really just need to get in the mindset of gathering skill position talent, and just never stop. They have shelf lives, so keep trying to find as many as you can, collect them like pokemon. I think we know what happens Round 1. And now we've got rounds 2-7 back in play...collect potential playmakers. Just go ham. No doubt grab DL if any present themselves, but don't rest on DJ and the hope what we currently have may be fine, keep trying to find the next best dudes. Feel like a lot of the top teams just don't stop and they have their next guys on the roster before the current stars even leave. Makes it easier to negotiate and let guys go. -
Pretty much. Really interested to see how Shanahan uses him with Deebo and Kittle. I mean, that's a fun group to have an offense with, and you don't need to run it through any of them explicitly either. We just did it all so wrong with Rhule. Turner was a bit better in 17-18 but still not my favorite. Still though, they used Samuel, Moore, CMC, it was a more complete offense. And it made Kyle Allen look good. It wasn't some forced jamboree through one guy that Rhule did.

I mean I'm going to want to rewatch some yt clips or something, but they seemed to survey the defense and changed things quickly today. That's on whoever is calling protections, and I don't think PJ does that. Had to have been Bozeman. Keeping that dude on the bench was insanity. Has been well rated, started years for Baltimore and is in his prime. I just don't understand the situation with Bozeman at all. Makes no sense to me. -

Yeah, the Bucs are a slow motion trainwreck right now but the line looked very good. The Bucs offense is in shambles, but we faired really well against arguably the best run-D in the league. That was the surprising thing for me. The communication at the line was excellent. I don't expect many more wins, but that was nice. -

I just can't believe it. With how good Campen is of a position coach, you'd think he would've said something...just wonder if Rhule forced the Elf thing because he sucked lol -

Bozeman is light years better at calling out protections than Elf. I truly don't understand why he's been on the bench. He looked like the high quality FA signing that we expected. WTF was he doing on the Bench? -
A team should have never been built around CMC. He's an excellent player but we didn't need to force it with him. For some reason, that's all this team tried to do with Rhule in charge and didn't diversify & spread the ball around the skill position players. Spreading things out and executing a diverse game plan with many dudes complimenting each other is what does it. DJ, Tremble, Foreman, Marshall, Hubbard all have talent. Just utilize it. We're still not that great of an offense, but this showed some of the younger guys we have are good. The obvious is still needed..time to find a QB and Coach! (And hoping for another offensive star)
