  1. I’m just stating why I want him fired, I actually haven’t seen a snap of our games yet this season
  2. This because the coach did and still sucks. Has nothing to do with Corral
  3. Haha. To be fair some peanut noir was involved in the making of this thread.
  4. This is not reactionary to the preseason, rather a new thread because at the end of the day—we have the worst coach in the league. He seems like a nice guy and appeases his superiors. So there’s that. So alrighty, that’s out of the way… Nutshell: I would like to use this random thread for people to understand we are basically viewing Rhule below everyone but Meyer at this point. He has exhibited zero nuance for the game and is simply not effective as a coach. That’s really it. He has a 10-23 record. Overall, I sense a weird lightness in pressure against this regime. It’s both in the National and local media when they are simply dishing out a horrible product. Please end this Dave. I would love to see Baker get it going with other chefs. thanks— respectfully, Davos Divinorum
  5. Rhule has been handled with kid gloves by his peers because he did get the “in” the other year. He was gifted it by a certain inner circle with only mild support. He’s not a laughing stock but he is semi-discarded at this point. If we suck this year, he’ll vanish quickly, but I wouldn’t be surprised to actually see him as the Jets OL coach next year instead of the HC of or some sh*t like Western Kentucky
  6. There’s an entire spectrum between the two sides you’re framing. Rhule is a dumbass
  7. Rhule can you please find a mediocre college program to run? Thx
  8. I'm pretty sure people jokingly predicted this scenario before things kicked off. Oy vey. I unfortunately don't see a good path for the kid here as much as I've wanted to buy into his game. If we're being honest, we're staring at Baker+2022 Success+Rhule's continuation or 2022 sh*tshow+New HC+QB1 2023. Some scenarios in between but those are the likely paths ahead. The dreaded middle ground is to what wish against. Otherwise known as the successful enough to retain Rhule, no playoffs, but out of position to take a top-3 QB in 2023.
  9. He was one that draft nerds deemed more inconsistent but had all the talent in the world if he figured it out. It looks like he's got the big-league quickness which is reassuring. If he works out, that would be a tremendous draft find. He honestly has an all-pro ceiling; but needs to keep at it with his development and tackling. Brandon Smith and Cade Mays look solid from this draft. And elsewhere, I intentionally left off QB to deter the focus but oh man...we pretty much are in a Baker or bust situation with our eyes on Stroud/Young/McCall/Van Dyke if it blows up. I'd say the QB situation is trending down, with a tad bit of hope in Baker being here to erase the rest of the mess.
  10. My quick takes...(feel free to add yours, doesn't have to be player specific) Trending Up My faith in the LB group being respectable -- Luvu & Brandon Smith in particular are 2 guys that likely have futures beyond this regime. Our Entire Secondary -- looks to be pretty well rounded with guys here for the long haul (Chinn, Horn, Jackson, Taylor, Woods, maybe Hendo) More guys to last beyond this staff. Left Side OL & Big Tay -- For the first time in forever, we at least have great upside on the left with two talented, super young guys on rookie deals in Ekwonu and Christensen. Again, guys that are longer term tickets. Trending Down Coaching -- Awkward, inexperienced, ineffective and inefficient. No QB decision even though we know what it is. We have a situation where Baker, CMC, Burns & the 2ndary could propel this team to a wildcard spot, in spite of the worst coach in the NFL. So it's lose-lose for fans. We win games, look good, yay, we're stuck with a guy who doesn't appear to be learning from mistakes. Flipside, we stay in the cellat. Terrace Marshall -- Sorry bud, I loved LOVED what I saw coming out of school but we are heavily teetering on bust territory Backup OL minus Mays -- No explanation needed
  11. That scenario is quite believable in looking at our schedule.
  12. If we lose to start off the season to the Browns w/ Brissett and the Giants w/a new HC & Daniel Jones, we've got to let this college coach experiment end. Then let that crazy sumbitch McAdoo ride this team into a high draft pick in the most entertaining way possible. If a revenge game level-Baker, CMC, DJ can't do enough to put down a Browns team (who I'm sure even a mediocre defense can contain w/Jacoby), it's on coaching. Baker with the improved line gives us a chance in a lot of these games, after an easy start, we've got a tough stretch. I'll tell you that if we weren't able to pull this Baker trade off, we'd be looking at 2-8/3-7 to start off easy and Rhule is gone. Now, I'm unsure. Especially if CMC stays healthy. This situation is insufferable knowing the HC is awful but we could still do well in spite of him.
  13. Still can't believe what we gave Ian relative to what guys like Hayden Hurst got. Albatross contract of the offseason. Ricci--ehh, he looks serviceable, Kris Magnum-y
  14. Mays was consistently a top-20 overall pick in mock drafts prior to his senior year...which wasn't that bad at all. A handful of outliers (and being an IOL) dropped him. He's a lot brighter than the usual pipedream scenarios of a Dennis Daley or Deonte Brown. The kid was a super touted HS prospect, and maintained that through school. He hopped around a bit bc of family but the dude excels everywhere.
  15. Minus the Carr and Darnolds of the world. There's certain ones that are official lost causes.
  16. This is great to hear. If LT and LG are shored up, it just makes things very smooth for everyone whether we have to rebuild, retool, or continue whatever we're doing with Rhule. The one big IF is if Baker clicks, we're suddenly a head coach and 2 playmakers (Offensive skill & DL) away from contending. We're stepping close to being respectable again.
  17. Early high school watching from home south Charlotte. Crazy, that’s when me and everyone I knew actually lived in Charlotte. Oh times they do fly… Still the wildest ride I’ve been on for a team I follow. The whole playoff run was still how I define the Panthers—still eclipses Cam’s time experience wise for me. Although I will say tying in the Canes SC run with graduation parties senior year was pretty sick too. Oh Panthers…
  18. Got everything that makes a good team minus the most important thing…
  19. What’s higher today fights or Darnold INTs?
  20. He was actually one of Baltimore's more reliable guys. So much, that he filled in for others and was able to go at G and C so them. Rated well at both spots.
  21. Looking like Center may be the last battle between Bozeman and Elflein which was expectedly unexpected. Ekwonu-Christensen-Boze/Elf-Corbett-Moton It pains me to put Elf on the list but if this apparent Bozeman struggle is real, then maybe it's a bit more of a tossup than expected. It just surprises me more than anything given Bozeman's resume. I don't think Christensen is this black and white, tackle-only type. He's not bad at LG, but yes, he will face more unfavorable matchups at the spot. Can still see him being respectable there. It's not like he can't get stronger, and honestly, he looks a bit more beefed up this year. We will see. I also hope Cade Mays continues to show off. He's looked ahead of his fellow backups so could be one of our solidified swing lineman that could slot in at a few spots and become a starter in a year or so. The remainder of our lineman are pretty meh. Erving will likely get cut, hopefully Jordan. Deonte has simply not pushed his way into considerable playtime to warrant an opinion one way or another.
  22. Not saying this in a woe is my team kind of way but we’re nicely positioned for another 5 win season. Maybe 6-8 if we’re lucky. Honesty, it would shock me to have a winning record.
  23. Watch out for Rhule’s boy Lovett. Imagine Foreman is pretty solidified but Hubbard could be in a precarious spot.
